Would these headlights work with the HID kit I already have or would I need to get the HID option from Winjet.

Were you be able to use the HID kit from oem headlight?

As far as I know, no, you can't. The winjet headlights use a an H7 bulb, where as stock is H11, I believe.

Someone has tried it and the light output was extremely dim.

The H11 would work, but you have to make sure it sits correctly inside the housing. Its a lot easier to just go and buy a replacement H7 bulb from ebay or where ever. Just be sure to buy a bulb that's compatible with your ballast.

But at lease the ballasts can be kept right?
So only need to get 2 X H7 bulbs.

Dude I might just have to grab these when I get stationed. I'm up in Pensacola. I think I need the TOM'S tails before I replace the headlights, though. Wish you were closer! Just got my FRS 'done' for the time being.
