The concept of brand loyalty mostly baffles me. Most brands change quite a bit over time, and usually there is at most one car for each brand that I care about at any given time.

For example I love FR-S/BRZ/86, as well as cars like the s2000, Z4 coupe, but really don't care about other vehicles from Toyota, Scion, Subaru, Honda, or BMW...

Also, if I needed to buy a different type of vehicle, say a truck or something, I don't get the point of automatically choosing a brand just because I liked another one of their vehicles. I would research what company makes the best truck and buy that...

I've never understood the whole brand loyalty thing. Every manufacturer has had good and bad cars.

The list of makes I haven't owned at least one of is shorter than the list I have owned (limiting that list to modern mainstream manufacturers not antique, etc stuff ). I've owned at least one of every brand listed in the poll.

Positive feelings towards Nissan and Honda (although Honda is fading), voted Nissan because my truck is awesome. I wanted to try Mazda or VW but the 86 is really the only competitor in it's field when I made a list of things I prioritized. Had zero interest in Toyota up until this car.

I think brand loyalty is the wrong term, of all the cars you've owned you had feelings about them yes? Good or bad, you'd give some of those automakers another shot in a heartbeat and there's probably a couple you would rather avoid, I can't imagine you could walk onto any dealership lot and work off a clean slate when you've built up experiences like that.

None. Good products get my loyalty regardless of brand.

No particular brand loyalty here. Before the FR-S was a Miata.

Infiniti ... or nissan...

but I think my next car is gonna be one helluva a toy car since the twin might be my daily. I'm debating on a ZL1 or a M3 sedan.

Not a brand loyalist here. Owned Ford, Toyota, Mazda, and VW.

Future list could possibly add on Chevy, Jaguar, BMW, and Porsche.

I've always been partial to 90's/early 00's Honda because I loved their engines and their lightweight philosophy. Once they killed off the S2000 and NSX, and switched the Integra platform to front mcp struts, Honda's products started to appeal to me less.

My last four car puchases have been: Nissan, Scion, VW, and Subaru. I'd still strongly consider a Honda S2000 successor if Honda announced a return to form.

I'm with the guy that should've added Chevrolet. I had/grew up with the Tahoe, Avalanche and then had my Silverado that was lifted.

I don't consider myself a diehard loyalist, but I have always driven BMW's and enjoyed them. I am turned off by the newer stuff. The fam has always had Toyota and Nissan stuff. I am coming around.
