What brand had your loyalty before the twins?
I started with Toyotas in high school, so I really have been waiting YEARS for them to build something FUN again. :-)

Ive owned 4 toyotas, 2 subarus, and 1 mazda prior to the fr-s. i will say toyotas were my favorites, i liked the subarus but i prefer rwd, so this car was a no brainer lol. (Still plan to get a subaru for my backup/winter car but having trouble finding one)

Why limit the poll to only picking one brand? Just having brand loyalty is essentially being a fanboy.

Hondas and Acuras for 6 new vehicles consecutively over 10 years. Wife started with Toyota and I switched after an unimpressive move from a TSX to V6 Accord with everything but nav.

Was dead set on a used RX-8 since my buddy had one and it was a blast to flog it all the way to 9500 RPM's, but decided I didn't want to deal with the reliability problems he dealt with every day and got myself a new FR-S instead. No regrets.

It's my first poll. Also I figured most people would elaborate. Out of all the cars I've owned, I really only bonded with my Fiat and my Toyotas. I dumped the most money into them and I enjoyed restoring them. There are a lot of great cars that I will never have the pleasure of owning. I can only speak for myself. Fiat/Toyota fanboy right here! :-D

You're right.
My bad. It's my first poll. I had imported cars on my mind. And there are a LOT of carmakers out there. I lumped the rest into "Others". Which Fords and Chevys did you bond with? I briefly owned a '49 Studebaker Land Cruiser that was an absolute gem. It had alligator skin embossing on the leather door panels. I sold it before restoring it. Buying it was an attempt to please my Grandpa who lost his first car, a '37 Studebaker down a sinkhole. I absolutely love looking at old Packards and Studebakers at car shows. :-)

Subaru
My brother had a 01 2.5RS Sedan and I still have my 06 Legacy GT. Both were DD's through New England winters and 0 problems with reliability. Hopefully my BRZ is just as reliable. |

Volkswagen. Loved the damn car. A lot of people did.
[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YiNIi5GTPfQ"]Mike's spark cut - YouTube[/ame] But brand doesn't dictate what car I bought. I was tired of the R32, it was time to move on. FR-S fit my needs and desires out of a car perfectly. |
