BRZ limited owners won't have to since they get pretty much all that stuff. For FR-S owners unless you have a Series 10 are SOL if you wanted this stuff. It does boggle the mind as to why they didn't offer this in the first place as a additional trim level back for the 2013 models. If they did that nobody would be upset and nobody would have to wait for these specific models. The FR-S does demonstrate why monospec is a very poor idea.

Well I talked to one of the guys at the meets. He said he only gets the chirping when his fuel tank gets low that's the only time it happens. And it has something to do with the oil temp being too high. But when it's at full tank it never chirps.

Yeah, SOL sounds about right. It really does confuse one, but it seems to me that it could be nothing more than a ploy to get the 13's & 14's back through the dealers, sell them used (make boo-koo bucks) and then get us into new ones.

That's not even close to true. I don't have one yet, but I am 90% sure I'll be buying one in 2015 when my student loans are finished being paid off and the uprated power version is out. I was an active member on club4ag with my 20v MR2, and now I'm active here so that I can go into a purchase knowing 1000 x's more than the salesman, and know exactly what I want to get and why, when to hold off on a purchase, things to negotiate at the sale, plan ahead for the expenses of all the aftermarket items I just have to have, etc. I'm sure that there are many like myself on here.

Ok, sorry. Don't get your panties in a bunch. "Most" of us are here, because we already own them, and the new ones with all the nice features are useless to us, unless we trade in, or acquire a second vehicle. You however, won't have that problem. You get to go straight into the latest and greatest, without having to sell your previous FRS or get a second one to get all the fancy stuff. Happy?

It drives us insane too. Every time we go to a drive-thru most people turn and look. Haha.

Same question I had in the other thread...

Huh? Why would there be Scion Monogram series cars be driving around in Japan?

Again, I'll ask...why would a production unit "Scion" Monogram series be on the streets of Japan? It's not like it's some different version of the car that needs to be tested in Japan before it comes here.

And what makes you think the car photographed in the US is pre-production? Do you even know what that means? I sure do. I used to work in new model development for Denso (Toyota account), so I understand completely how this works.

What is your problem, and why are you such a JackAss?

I did not say anywhere that the vehicle was being driven on the streets of Japan for testing or any other purpose. My statement, "on the streets", is nothing more than the same as "on the ground", "has been built", "are coming off of the production line", etc. Why the vehicle was brought to the Toyota plant... I have no idea. I only know from first hand knowledge that it was there.

Again, why are you being such a JackAss?
I'm not coming off as a jackass, I'm just sick of reading all of your cryptic posts about this vehicle. You've said that you can't divulge how you're getting one early, yet you seem to like to tease enough about it. Why not just say "I work for xxxx and was able to order the car early"? And now you're on about how they are "on the streets" in Japan, only to recant and say that you meant to say they have been built. Big difference in your wording from your first post.

Maybe if you had just said that in the first place, I wouldn't be questioning you. But alas, this is how you have decided to communicate your insider knowledge...cryptic and begging for questions from other members. Do you not see that is what you're doing? There are actually people on here looking for solid details on the car. Man up and just explain what you know, or shut up about it.

In all honesty, he didn't have to say anything about the Monogram series at all. Its up to you whether to take it in or not.

Thanks, I get that. But the purpose of internet forums is to share information, and for others to question the validity (or conversely accept as fact). I obviously don't care one way or another, as I already have an 86.

Call me the devils advocate...
