What tires are on the white car? Most street tires actually grip worse if you do a burnout. Generally the best thing you can do is drive around the water box, and just give them a really quick spin to scrub off any crap.

Interesting, according to the website below, the stock FRS/BRZ is capable of hitting 14.6 sec. I doubt mine is that quick though (nor would I be able to get close given my amateurish launch abilities)

I'm running Nitto 555. They actually hook better when they're warmed up

stock 86 cars in this part of the world run 15.1-15.6 on pump gas.

oh yeah, whats the fastest NA pump gas 86? always wondered. Coz we dont have E85 so we benchmark pg

Stock and modified 86 cars run the same here in the USA. The quickest NA pump gas 86 I've ever seen to date ran 14.56 The lowest I've seen so far is 14.47 but that was on e85. Most struggle to break into the 14's without FI and even then, high 13's is the norm.

As easy as most drag strip newbies think it is, laying down a good 1/4 mile pass isn't that easy. I'm reminded of a time when I met a guy with a 300+ whp turbo Scion TC at the strip and he was running high 14's all day. My boosted AT XB only made ~240whp but ran low 14's all day, every day with 14.1 @98mph as it's best.
