Car won't start! Making weird sounds.

Car has been sitting for a few weeks as it'a not a daily. Went to start it the other day and the starter won't engage. Battery has 12.5 volts. Attached is the video of the sound it makes.

Updated!!!
Replaced the battery and car still wouldn't start. So I "jump" started it by bypassing the factory harness and took a wire directly to the solenoid on the starter to the battery with the key on. The car started right up. I took it on a drive to get it up to running temperature and then shut it off. Tried to restart and it fired right up. So I let it sit overnight and tried to start it again today and same thing won't start. It is still not giving me any codes. All the fuses are good and nothing else if having problems besides my air ride control quit working but that is its own issue and I'm waiting on a replacement to get here from Airlift.

Well, your car's battery can show 12 volts and still not have enough juice (amps) to run a starter.

Do any lights come on?

I suggest you put a battery charger on it for a spell. Or, take the battery out and have it charged.

You might check to make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight.

I hope you get er running!

PS - I don't see/hear any video??

Does it sound like ... click..click.. ??

does the car say "GET OUT" in a creepy demonic voice? That may be a bad sign.

Clutch button works? 12.5 volts should spin the starter.

have someone attempt a crank while you are checking voltage and see what it drops down to.

That noise is the throttle butterfly servo motor (press on the gas pedal it should change sound). No idea about the no start.

Any aftermarket mods?

Sounds like a dead battery to me, try a jump start and drive it around (not far) to give it a good charge (more than half an hour I think).

Try push-starting it, maybe? If it starts, drive around and let the battery charge, like strat61caster said.

Well, it's my understanding that a battery can show 12 Volts, which may just be a surface charge. A "bad" battery which shows 12 surface volts, will drop to a point well below 12 volts and cannot transfer enough amps to turn over a starter.

So, I like strat61caster's strategy ...... jump that puppy and see if it will hold a charge. If it doesn't, take it in and have it "load" tested to see if it's being a bad boy.

Well there's a big difference between 12.0 and 12.5!
12.6 is a fully charged battery. 12.0 flat is a battery needing a charge. But we're all waiting on OP to boost 'er up and see what happens.
