Unbelievable. It's friggin' perfect. Those pics has made me reconsider Hot Lava as a doable colour. Great job and epic fitment eb!

What kind of wheels are these?

recent pic my buddy Ryan shot of my car while I was hanging at Express Auto Salon in Kenner, LA last weekend.

Tyre help

I want to get some tyres for work S1R 18 x 9.5 +25.

at first I was going to get AD08R 225 40 18 but i've read that they are wider than most tyres and with my wheels they could cause rubbing issues?

I also think with a slight stretch they won't look right because of the stiff sidewalls.

Whats a grippy street tyre that would suit my wheel size and fit best. (Direzza are hard to get in UK)

I've got 225/45x17 winter tires on stock rims. The width is no problem (that's only 10 mm wider than stock or less than 1/4 inch each side).

To compare wheel and tires to stock try this site:

http://www.rimsntires.com/specs.jsp

245/35x18 would be a better choice but a 9.5 in wheel is technically too wide for these cars.

He bough 9.5 +25 wheels, I don't think he cares if people might consider them "too wide"

225/40 is going to depend on your ride height and camber.

will be pretty low but not necessarily fully slammed. I think I will buy 225/40 to avoid rubbing if i choose to go lower in future, would still like to retain some sort of handling though. Got rear LCA for camber adjustment.

9.5 +25 seems like a dedication to the hellaflush form over function scene.

Hellaflush is a live and learn scene, unless somoene else has done the specs you are trying to run. You seem to be entering the realm of millimeter perfection, daily driving without rubbing being low and wide.

Goodluck.

You lack a sense of direction I think. Or your question is unclear at least.

You want to stretch 225s over a 9.5 inch wheel but also "retain some handling". Anyone who knows good handling will tell you thats not possible. If by "handling" you mean the car will still turn, then yeah sure thats possible. In that case dont waste your money on Advans.
