Speed trap! We've got a lot of those speed limits going from 55, 35, 25. So if you are not familiar with the place, you'll most likely get busted.

Sorry OP, there is no way around it. I know several people who have gotten it and were never able to get away from not paying the fine.

I've had red sporty cars for 15 years and speed all the time. I just don't get pulled over anymore because I drive smart. Pay it and learn from it rather than get out of it and keep driving in ways that will get you more tickets.
The reason why owning Sport cars in the NA is so ridiculously pointless, unless you go to the track.

Really, if you don't go to the track, the fastest straight line power win in real life situation all day, any day. Because you can punch it to pass, or to merge. Usually, you don't get ticket because of passing, or merging. If you drift into the corners...you are sure to get many tickets slaps...

Beside, it look like the best market now is for the mid life crisis. People who have family, haul family, still want sporty feels. Those are high performance CUV, and Hatch.

There will be more of Hatch and CUV later, especially the Audi Q5 RS, and diesel version together with Sedan as well

Generally when you treat an officer of the law with respect they do the same back, and sometimes that helps to reduce a ticket.

And they all have their bad days too. I worked for the SCHP in my last job and it gave me a lot more respect for those guys. Before that I was no fan of cops at all. Keep in mind that every single stop it's in their head that the occupant(s) of the vehicle they just stopped could try to cause them harm. The guy before you could've been a total a-hole. The officer could've just left the scene of an accident and had to witness things that nobody really should have to.. You were doing 25 over. Yes, I know, the limit dropped, and I'm not trying to be all holier than thou 'cause I've had a much worse ticket and a license suspension, but in a lot of cases a young guy doing more than 50% over the limit and they're not going to be too happy with you. All in all it could've been a lot worse. IMO, get a lawyer and get it handled.

That's because, according to your profile, you live in Ohio. Back when I lived in IL I may have agreed with you, because yes, straight for miles and that's all there is. But in the Carolinas there are enough mountains that I'll take a car with a horsepower deficit for a boost to handling. Don't get me wrong, I'll always have a bit of power lust, but your surroundings will build a deeper appreciation for a more nimble vehicle.

Just try to fight it, worst case nothing happens, best case you either get a smaller fine/points or case is dropped. I only got a speeding ticket once, in Lake tahoe in my sti completely my fault haha.

You should see some of the places we have in California.

Even San Diego County has some gold: http://goo.gl/maps/kHsHi

I saw you're in Buffalo so I hope you read this part of the link posted above:
"New York DMV Transit Adjudication Board

The State of New York offers a unique challenge for successfully fighting traffic tickets. Actually this challenge exists in Albany, Buffalo, Rochester and New York City. If you receive a citation in these cities you are essentially doomed. These cities utilize the DMV Transit Adjudication Bureau. This facility is not a real court. You have no right to discovery, you don’t get a supporting deposition, you cannot plea bargain and you don’t even get a real judge. Appeals are virtually non-existent and according to a recent report, the Bureau is required to maintain a 65% conviction rate in order to maintain revenues. The only positive is that the Administrative Law Judge doesn’t have the power of incarceration so you won’t end up in jail.

The only hope for a small measure of success in this venue is to file as many continuances as possible and hope that the officer finally doesn’t show for your appearance date. This is the only way you will manage to beat a citation in this skewed excuse for a court system. As hard as it is to believe, this system is legal and constitutional. Continued efforts to revise this system have been vetoed by the governors at the time since it is realized that this system is a money machine. The best advice is not to get a ticket in any of these locations."
I'm in Albany but have never gotten a ticket here. This kinda scares me actually.

California is probably the most beautiful and diverse state in the whole country. Plenty of dumb car and gun laws, but NY isn't any better in that regard. I love it here.

You could always come to Colorado, where we have the mountains, amazing road, and scenery, but you don't have to be in Cali...

I drive like an asshole all the time. When you drive 4 hours a day for work you gain a hatred for other drivers in certain areas. I drive like an asshole just to get away from those drivers haha. Knock on wood since I only have 1 speeding ticket and I'm 21

I had 1 speeding ticket per year on average from 17 until I was 22.
