No, no other mods to the car at all. Checked for an exhaust leak and there wasn't anything, but it looks like I recently bottomed out pretty hard so i tink possibly the o2 sensor couldve gotten messed up on that, maybe hit the frame of the car or something.

That's crazy. You're setup was more aggressive than mine on account of the front pipe, but if I babied it, I could ninja all the way out of my neighborhood in 1st and 2nd gear at 4am and no one would be the wiser. I'm under the impression that even once I get my catless front pipe on, it'll be the same.

To everyone reading this, keep in mind I still say it's full blown Harley when it first cranks cold, but after about 30 seconds it's as stealthy as you want it to be.

Got a chance to hear my Tomei 80R exhaust on my BRZ.

The Nameless front/overpipe front flange didn't match up to the downtube, so there's a big exhaust leak, so I was only able to hear the car start and high-idle to idle, but MAN that Tomei exhaust sounds sweet!

Not as loud as I expected, even during cold start high idle, just deep and throaty.

I can't wait til the car's done and tuned, it's gonna sound great!

It'll be finished next week.

I finally got my car back from the shop, after getting an FB turbo kit, Nameless 3" catless front/overpipe, and Tomei 80R exhaust. I've driven around so far for a bit, and the sound is awesome!

It is loud, drone isn't too bad, bit it is loud so there's sound inside the cabin, but no drone, just loud, deep, sweet sounding exhaust note.

Driving easy, it's not too loud, cold start isn't bad at all. When romping on it, it gets louder, but it sounds sweet! Not so loud that I can't putt around town fairly quietly though.

Just an FYI for people thinking about the 60R in Texas. Its ok to convert from a dual tailpipe to a single tailpipe and replace (but not remove) catalytic converters. But if your car is not equipped with a muffler you may fail your yearly inspection.

per http://www.proexhausttx.com/laws.php

To all the users of the tomei exhaust, how do you all like the system so far?
any issue? fitment? noise?
I heard exhaust note will become a bit deeper after few thousand miles. How does this apply to the tomei?
I am still interested in the 60s for it's noise level compare to the 60r or 80. Cant wake my neighbors up in the middle of the night...haha

The sound definitely breaks in and gets better over time. Don't install this behind catless UEL headers and a catless front pipe if not being the loudest thing ever is a priority for you. But yes, I love this thing. I weighed it and it was even lighter than advertised.

Seems like you have the Tomei 60R.
Do you think it will be acceptable if everything stock + 60S?
I am not planning on changing the header although tomei is releasing the header soon!! haha. but with tomei combo it is going to be way too loud as i can imagine haha so hard to decide between tomei 60s, fujitsubo authorize r, and greddy trust cs gts v2........ I live in asia so these are my priority options. And! your car sounds mean! hahahha

I've never heard a 60S. But I would bet that would sound good. Not obnoxious and ridiculous like mine.

Here's a video of my Tomei 60S after a car wash ...

Various shifts up and down, under load, not under load ...

GoPro was mounted above the exhaust looking down, encased in the plastic cover.
