We pulled out and applied Teflon tape and screwed them back supper tight. We used red rubber grease on the nipples when applying the pipes back on to prevent leaks. The other point the Technician pointed out, is do not use any gasket sealer on the kit as it comes with rubber seals on all necessary parts. The idiot mechanic who installed first time used gasket sealer and we could notice it creates areas where the charger would eventually leak. Bill is the one who told me exactly what was wrong with my kit and how to seal. He know this kit so well what ever advise he gives is worth taking. |

It might just be me, but my car seems to run smoother now that i've replaced those fittings and used teflon on them. |

I did not see any nipples when we took apart, maybe your term nipple and mine are different.
You get the two connectors which fit into each end of the cooler, these have 3 O rings to seal the coolant and the boost? This is where I had a leak, the last O ring was left off by the technician, so my air was flowing freely. We just applied small amount of red rubber grease and the two pipes went in and sealed perfect. If the above is not it, put a pic up. Last edited by Ryan86; 12-04-2013 at 03:21 AM. |

Fit the O rings, then apply small amount of red rubber grease around the 3 O rings to create a better seal when you fit. You will feel them nice an snug if you try Pull them back slowly.
I personally would not put any glue or sealant in there, as this could cause blockage if any had to come loose. |
