Okay, so I'm not very experienced when it comes to reading logs, but...
My log is looking kinda scary. Not sure if it is relevant, but this log was taken while my engine was cold. Cold start, 34 degrees outside, started log recording about 2 minutes after I turned the car on. My AFR is running crazy lean at like 20.5 AFR frequently, KC went up as high as 8 in several spots, STFT up to 15 in a couple of spots, LTFT down to -11 in several spots... umm? I'm not sure how to copy the diagram from the Procede graphs, but here is a sample of the raw data from the excel spreadsheet: Time[s] Engine Speed Throttle MAF Voltage Engine Load VVT Intake VVT Exhaust Ignition Advance KC Learned Value AFR ST Fuel Trim LT Fuel Trim 62.49 2736.75 0 1.55 0.16 12.5 3.12 43 0 14.24 0 6.25 62.57 2650.5 0 1.54 0.12 7.5 0.38 44 0 14.81 0 6.25 62.66 2599.25 0 1.51 0.13 2.5 0.23 41 0 14.93 0 6.25 62.74 2477 0 1.49 0.12 2.5 0.25 39.5 0 15.04 0 6.25 62.83 2402.5 0 1.49 0.12 0 0.27 39 0 15.04 0 6.25 62.9 2327.75 0 1.48 0.12 0 0.07 39 0 15.04 0 6.25 62.98 2242 0 1.5 0.13 0 0 20.5 0 15.27 0 6.25 63.06 2158 0 1.49 0.14 0 0 20.5 0 15.5 0 6.25 63.14 1966.5 0 1.5 0.15 0 0 20.5 0 16.31 0 6.25 63.22 1870.5 0 1.48 0.15 0 0 20.5 0 16.88 0 6.25 63.3 1772.25 0 1.49 0.16 0 0 35.5 0 17.46 0 6.25 63.39 1710 0 1.49 0.17 0 0.19 31 0 18.72 0 6.25 63.47 1504 0 1.49 0.19 0 0.38 23.5 0 20.33 0 6.25 63.6 1411 0 1.49 0.21 0 0.21 21 0 20.33 0 6.25 63.66 1242.25 1.62 1.66 0.24 0 0.31 21 0 20.33 0 6.25 63.76 1222.5 4.7 1.88 0.37 0 0.62 16.5 0 20.33 0 0 63.82 1275.5 12.59 2.4 0.61 0 0.92 3 0.06 20.33 0 0.78 63.92 1381 12.62 2.35 1.07 -2.5 0.87 7 3.94 20.33 0 1.56 63.99 1681.75 10.88 2.08 0.75 -2.5 0.22 7 6.72 14.01 0 1.56 64.13 1493 7.5 1.98 0.57 -2.5 0.32 22.5 7.12 13.09 -3.12 2.34 64.21 1411.25 11.03 2.21 0.57 -2.5 5.21 16.5 6.84 13.21 -6.25 4.69 64.31 1518.75 13.02 2.23 0.73 -2.5 9.64 17 6.59 14.13 -7.03 4.69 64.38 1705.75 9.58 2.07 0.62 0 15.38 22 6.25 15.39 1.56 4.69 64.48 1660 8.56 2.03 0.56 2.5 19.5 22 7.03 14.7 3.91 4.69 64.55 1614.25 11.07 2.18 0.64 5 23.36 23 7.12 13.9 5.47 4.69 64.65 1728.5 11.81 2.2 0.65 10 24.99 23.5 6 13.67 3.91 4.69 64.77 1773 10.46 2.15 0.61 10 24.48 23.5 6.16 14.01 4.69 4.69 64.84 1726.5 11.25 2.21 0.61 10 23.44 23.5 6.25 14.24 7.03 4.69 64.94 1761.75 12.13 2.25 0.65 10 21.82 23.5 5.66 14.01 7.03 4.69 65.01 1895.5 10.4 2.15 0.62 10 19.71 24 5.47 13.9 7.03 4.69 65.11 1881.25 9.36 2.13 0.56 10 19.3 24 5.72 13.9 7.81 4.69 65.18 1855.5 10.64 2.2 0.56 7.5 19.34 25.5 5.47 13.55 7.81 4.69 65.28 1891 10.42 2.19 0.6 7.5 19.23 26 4.91 13.32 7.03 4.69 65.35 1996.5 9.26 2.16 0.56 5 19.06 26 4.62 13.32 6.25 4.69 65.45 1990.25 9.01 2.13 0.54 2.5 19.01 26.5 4.5 13.32 5.47 4.69 65.52 2009.25 8.92 2.17 0.51 2.5 19.21 27 4.06 13.21 5.47 4.69 My full spreadsheet is attached (in .pdf format because it wouldn't let me attach it in excel). Anyone with more knowledge than me, that can tell me if I'm just freaking out over nothing, or if something is seriously wrong here...

Everything you describe is normal. There is nothing worth datalogging at idle or during cold start. You will naturally see swings in fuel trim and AFR. That's just the nature of cold start/warm-up. To limit unnecessary concerns, my suggestion is to limit datalogging to warmed up, full load conditions. Nothing short of that can possibly be out of the ordinary with our OTS maps unless you are dealing with some hardware failure which is equally unlikely. Here's a video that will show you how to save the OFT's datalog file as a CSV file which can be viewed by our datalog viewing software: [ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlEfyKIlWdg#t=304"]Vishnu OpenFlash Tutorial 3 - YouTube[/ame] |

I did see that my AFR was running a bit rich above 5k rpm's with moderate load, which I knew was good/normal. I was under the impression that at light rpm's (~2k at light load) that the AFR should not be going above 17 or so, but I'm still learning. I'll take another log after work today, I'll wait to log until the car is fully warmed up, and I'll do a few WOT pulls. Anyway, thanks again for the feedback. I was freaking out there for a second, but I feel much better now.

When you let off the pedal AFRs will spike lean then rebound. ( this is why your instant mpg jumps when going down hill or coasting) If your load is constant light load you should be somewhere near stoaic or 14.3~14.7 depending on ethonal content.
I'm not sure what this car runs wot or mid load. Nor am i sure how avcs or vvt changes affect the readouts.

Got my OFT today. Couple things. On my netbook (7 starter) the software errors when clicking on upload. Ill get the error information later.
I got it to work fine on my desktop (7 pro) And second, does it matter that the CAL or VIN never shows up? It looks like I'm still able to load the maps but wondering if it's an issue. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk |

I went to the website again today and it still says the Tablet Software is at 1.03 and the 1.34 maps are Beta. I tried a forced refresh so maybe I am missing something or did the 1.04 update get pulled?
