Now Available: OpenFlash Manager 1.04

Downloadable from our website.

You won't have to uninstall your previous OpenFlash Manager 1.03. You should be able to just run the installer and let it do its thing. Just make sure that you see OpenFlash Manager 1.04 written up top when you launch it.

v1.04 Changes:

-The bug that prevented downloading datalog data from OFT to laptop is now fixed:
http://i85.photobucket.com/albums/k4...nagerv1042.jpg

-You will also notice that we have increased allowable tuned map storage from 2 files to 5 files. HOWEVER, the firmware update needed by the OFT (via auto update) is not released yet. We expect it to be ready next week. So until then, you won't be able to upload more than 2 tuned files like before. If you try to upload more than 2, you will get an error message when you try loading/compressing them on to the OFT. No harm will be done though.

-A new DLL file has been added that now makes the OFT compatible with the newest ROM type (ZA1JB00C) that we just started to see in newly delivered 2014 model year cars. I have not added OTS maps for this ROM in the public download folder. So if you have this ROM type, you will need to email me. This is all mentioned in the Read Me file :)

-Fixed language file so that when you choose English, you actually get English everywhere. Before, some sections were still written in Italian. Love the food. Can't speak the language.

Other Misc tidbits:

-The beta status for the v1.34 maps has been removed. The maps are the same so no need to update if you were already running the v1.34beta maps.

-The color for the AFR channel in the realtime data display has been change to a lighter color to make it easier to see in direct sunlight.

Cheers and we thank everyone for their ongoing support!
Shiv

Does renaming the file name affect anything? Instead of "Stage 1 Z..." can I call it something else that help me know what version it is? Say I want to call it Stage 1 v1.34?

Renaming does not make a difference. However I'm not sure if you can rename as the previous version of the software reverted back to the original name after you renamed it.

Thanks. Sent you a pm with another question.

I rename mine all the time. I put the version # and whether it's gas or e85 in the file name. It makes it way easier to pick on the tablet. No problems thus far.

@jeebus, Do you rename it before you load onto the tablet? I ask because it looks like I can change it on the tablet too via the Open Flash Manager.

I rename it in Windows...the file itself.

It's doing to be a little while I think. Until then you can pretty much tell what iam is by watching knock correction learned values.

@shiv@vishnu,

IS there a way to completely reset the tablet? When i click on the screen it only clicks the tuning button and then i cant use any of the direction arrows to proceed to read the ECU.

It also does the calibration process every time I start it. Doesn't seem to have an issue with the calibration and I tried the stylus trick but I don't think that is the issue.

I deleted all the data and Am still having the same issue.

The datalogging still doesn't seem to be working for me. It freezes up after I finish "Read" on the Data logging tab in the OpenFlash Manager 1.04

EDIT: FYI, I did not restart my PC after downloading and installing 1.04 so I'm going to reboot and see if that fixes the issue.

I haven't heard any reports of this issue with v1.04. This release fixed that brief problem we had last week. Would it be possible for you to test on another computer you have access to?

Rebooted my computer, and everything is good to go now. It didn't prompt me for a reboot after I downloaded and installed 1.04, so I didn't reboot initially.

Noob mistake on my end... rule of thumb when troubleshooting, always always always restart the computer as the first step. =/
