J2 engineering exhaust

Warning! I have the dual version of this exhaust setup and I have to tell you, it's no walk in the park for sure.
This is exhaust is turning out to be such a problem.
1. No instructions - I know it's self explanitory but still...
2. The tips were bent.
3. I wanted to attach mine to the factory cat (mid pipe) and the connections with the donut gasket is loose.
The extra .25in lip from the factory front pipe doesn't slip into the J2 pipe. So now I now have a leak .
4. Y section pipe hits car frame.

I like the look and sound but it's going to cost me an extra $$$ and my time to fix it correctly!
I wouldn't be oppose to getting their catless mid pipe and see if that helps with the fitment.
I contacted DNA Motorsport (Vendor of J2 exhaust) and see what they can do.
Off to the muffler shop I go!

I don't have this exhaust. I also think you have your components labeled wrong.

The front pipe does have an extension. That extension is for a doughnut gasket. From the sound/look of it, you didn't install the d-gasket. If this is the case, next time take the time to learn something before bashing it. No comment on the tips.

the j2 front pipe doesn't have the extension. it's actually 2.75" through. you just use a normal gasket instead of the donut.

J2 engineering exhaust

I ended up reversing the install and not using any factory exhaust hangers.
I attached the exhaust starting from the mid pipe first. Then I used zip ties to hang the exhaust in place until i can get new hangers.
The mistake i made was watching the install video on youtube. Maybe the video is correct for non catted front pipe install, but for me
Installing in the reverse directions gave me the best fitment.
