When I checked my codes I had a couple saying the car was running to rich , the code c1201 might be your spark plugs? Did you have more the one code pop up when you checked?

My Traction Control Light has been on before the CEL ever came on. Meaning about 200 miles into the car it popped up and i could feel that i lose grip on the road. Now at stops the car idle's, then the CEL pops up...im just putting my 2 cents in, have gone to dealer with no help, they act as if they are completley lost...

Try disconnecting the battery for 15 mins then reconnect. It hasn't popped back up since I did that.

Ah, another FI owner with the C1201 code. I had this on the AVO kit as well. It shows as an ABS related fault, but that makes no sense. My running theory is that C1201 is a 'cry for help' DTC relating to excessive oil temp or some other issue relating to high load and stress on the engine which can be caused by, among other things, a supercharger or turbo kit setup. On the other hand, it could be an ECU-related issue.

For me, ECU resets would temporarily remedy the issue, but it always came back for me (before my car was warrantied).

Have you had the car warrantied yet at all? And what is your approx. VIN/build date?

This same thing happened to me after I installed the Phantom ESC without a tune.
What happened is that if you have a CEL lit then the traction control light lights to indicate that you have another CEL. You need to clear the code and the traction control light will go out until you get another CEL.
I guess what I'm saying is that if you have multible CEL's, the traction control lights because there is only one CEL light.
Either fix what is causing the CEL in the first place or tell the tune to just ignore it.

That's not an accurate statement. What happens is that some problems that set CELs may interfere with the traction control system, and when they occur, the VDC control module will store an ECM fault code and illuminate to let you know you have no VDC/TCS.

The TC lgiht comes on to indicate limp mode, not a second CEL.
