Hi all, just wondering from anyone who has this kit whether they felt that the OEM engine mounts should be changed and whether it is wise to fit an oil cooler at time of installation???
cheers

We are in similar climate conditions and my max oil temps have been 127 deg c on a hot day of 34 deg c, been told if temps exceed 130 deg c then fit oil cooler

Engine mounts not an issue at all.

Update found another leak, this time coming from the pipe connecting to the manifold into the cooler. Kit has to come off.
Take some pics tomorrow exactly where.

We used carb spray which was excellent in detecting the leak, spray car idles higher where leak located. Soap water did not pick it up.

Hopefully this is it

The what lol? Can you be more specific? Are you taking about an intercooler fitting? Or the bypass chamber? Or?

Is leaking a common phenomenon with this kit and install? I am highly interested in buying it with the inter-cooler, but I'm thinking about having someone else [who knows what they're doing] install and tune it. I was thinking about going out-of-state (FT86speedfactory) to get the kit to save on tax and shipping (and it seems like they may give an additional 2%). Want to pull the trigger in the next six months as I check on these forums daily to check up on your guys' experience with the kit. Hopefully they're get their CARB-approval sometime in the next 6 months too.

It seems a lot of people have the issue of the two fittings on the back of the charger leaking, but its a quick easy fix especially with the charger not being installed on the car already.

Has anyone found a better deal this weekend on the innnercooler kit?

Best I found was 5% off at ft86speedfactory.
