Same here, and it sounded even better again when I added the Nameless front pipe. I should have kept the Magnaflow on the car, but I just can't leave things alone. Live and learn, I guess.

Thanks for your comments. Looking forward to seeing how the Magnaflow looks with the TRD.

@mitosis The stock mid-pipe starts out at 2 1/4". About 3-4 inches in, it is crushed down to 2 1/8", but widens out to 2 9/16" this lasts for about 3", then it is back to 2 1/4" into the resonator. From the resonator to the flange on the muffler, it is 2 1/8" except for one bend where it is crushed down to 1 3/4" X 2 3/8" wide. After the flange, the pipe going into the muffler is 2 5/16". What a miss-mash of sizes...still better than the TRD, though.

For now, this is all anyone really needs to see...

Stock exhaust is on the left, TRD "performance" exhaust is on the right.

That's the way to do it.. Thanks for sharing! Much better than marketing brochures.. That picture is one reason I'm just looking at an axle back exhaust..

The actual axle-back part of the TRD system looks like a pretty nice piece. For anyone who already has the TRD cat-back, getting rid of that dinky little mid-pipe makes a difference you can feel.

Is the TRD muffler flange in the same place as the stock exhaust?

Which mid-pipe would fit otherwise?

I could easily check this myself, but since I'm nowhere near my car at the moment, I'll ask this.
Are the TRD exhaust tips removable so you could put on, say, Perrin tips?

No. I had a shop custom bend me a new 2.5" mid pipe, with a large Magnaflow resonator just after the connection to the front pipe. It wasn't a lot of money, and really woke the car up.

The tips are welded on.

Hey @roddy could you PM me what what you paid to have this manufactured; or perhaps a fair price I could have this done? Thanks brotha!

Sure...I'll send you some pics too. It might take me a bit, as I have to re-size 'em. There is a link a few posts up to the resonator I used.

Yeah I went and checked right after I asked. I guess that explains why I've never seen any "for sale" threads about those D-shaped tips.
