I suspect it will be happy with running a few gallons of gasoline in there because straight E86 is overkill as far as octane/cooling go. I will report my findings.

When my tank hits the E mark and low fuel light comes on, it only takes around 10, sometimes 10.5 gallons to fill to the top. The tank is 13.2 gallons, so there could be 3 full gallons of gasoline in the tank at that time. Assuming the corn juice you fill up with is 100% e85, that would net you something more like e68. If the corn juice is e70 you'd be down to e56. I did this based on using gasoline with 10% alcohol content already.

That's totally fine. Doesn't need to be e85. I've gone as low as e65 without any issue. I'm going to test even lower this week.

Good to know. Do you put the e85 in and then drive slowly and do some mini slaloms to mix the fuel up?

Can't wait to try it.

Bingo. I've compared the addresses to the rom, nothing's out of place.

Thanks for the confirmation Td-d. When putting together these XDFs I do everything visually/manually through string searches and pattern finding. So I'm always open to the possibility of there being errors. But I do test the maps out quite thoroughly so I found it surprising that Visconti would uncover something unexpected. But I'd like to thank him and the Ecutek community for bringing what *he thought* was a error to the attention of the community (if not myself)

Best Regards,
Shiv

So, storm in a teacup aside , I find it interesting that you've opted for an ignition cut based approach, as opposed to a requested torque tapering (the other method I've seen in action). Any advantage, or just coming at the problem from a different angle?

Just a different angle. With this approach I can induce what appears to be a soft limit that slowly transitions to a hard fuel cut if you stay on the throttle for another 2-3 seconds. I do like to keep throttle open as much as possible (hence the ignition only cut). Perhaps this a personal bias from all the turbo tuning we have done (don't want to dump that precious boost!)
