PS4 set to get Gran Turismo 7 in 2014

Rumor, of course. Would be nice though.

What's the big difference between Forza and GT? Well, Forza 5 ships with the XBONE and it looks gooooood. I hope Turn10 has expanded the compatibility of steering wheels! Bring on the Logitech.

I like how the cloud will learn your driving so that the AI will become better and better and smarter and smarter. An evolving AI is a really cool feature.
first off, i would like to know what the cog of the leaf is. second, without knowing the spring rates or where the roll axis it doesnt really matter. i was just posting that video because i dont think that forza looks any better.

You are comparing a 2 year old game with a game that has not yet launched. Take that into consideration. You weren't comparing GT5/F4.

If you want to compare games that both get released this December feel free to compare GT6 and F5, which again wouldn't be fair due to a discrepancy in the generation of console.

That's all. That video certainly wasn't apples to apples and I go back to my original statement. Who's really driving from that POV anyway?

I do. I put down consistently better lap times when I can see more around me. And it's needed even more in multiplayer where I need a better view around the vehicle so I'm not accidentally clipping a fender and wrecking. You have a better situational awareness because of the lack of peripheral vision and losing about 50% of forward sight. Those that have three monitors, or four if you include the rear-view camera, can get away with it, sure. For most of us that's not feasible.

And I always found it interesting the comments about the engine sounds in GT. People who complain about the engine sounds, typically will reference a car that has all the mods done to it. The moment you throw a trans into a car on GT, you get the Straight Cut gear box whine....Which is what happens in Real Life. In stock cars in GT, the engine notes are fine and sound like they should. A worked trans sounds like it's a mechanical robot.

No. It's because 75% of the cars in GT5 are standard definition cars ripped from GT4. The Premium cars look good and sound good. It's the majority of the cars in standard definition that drags it down.

Yes it is in F4. You have to adjust your "mult-screen" settings. It brings the PoV back (like sliding the seat back) and you can see the sideview mirror and rear view mirror better. It's a vastly improved driving perspective.

If you haven't done this, try it.

Yeah I adjusted that since I think it was the same technique used in F3. Still can't see the right side mirror. Head tracking with Kinect helps to some degree, but not enough. And in the LM cars you're set back so far that you get a tiny slit to look out of. Just my opinion and experience.

I actually think Forza is a better game. Has more content normally than the GT series (customization, auction house, etc...). However, this time it seems like they did have to cut out a good bit of content to meet schedules. Graphics wise I always thought Forza's lighting model and cars looked like toys compared to GT's photo realistic looking vehicles. Anyone read this review?

Some of these screen shots look rough.

Sorry, but I was commenting on engine sound complaints. Engine sounds didn't have anything to do with ported GT4 cars. And there were only a handful of standard cars that people even missed driving in premium form anyway. Standard cars didn't bother me.

Gt6 I think will blow F5 out of the water, despite being on an older platform.

Too bad my faith in them has been completely destroyed after the embarrassment of GT5.

What was the embarrassment? It underwhelmed with the premium cars and took too long, but the driving was still superior, and they made the Mk3 7M Supra premium.

Superior driving physics > not enough high res cars.

Forza letting me upgrade the driveshaft of a FWD car is absolutely unforgivable, and a better application of the word 'embarrassment'.

The only real "embarrassment" in gt5 was the standard car lack of graphics & that most cars were "standard" even if they were "used" models of premiums. That was it. Mainly a minor gripe, not an embarrassment.
