Subfolders Usb Audio Issues

I've been trying to figure out how to get my usb audio setup correctly for my new FRS. I got a 32 gb stick, formatted fat32, and created some folders, subfolders and put music into them.

The problem is that when I use the usb stick, it shows all subfolders. So if I have each main folder an artist, and each subfolder an album, it will simply list all the album folders, and not show me the artist folders.

Are subfolders not supported? Do I have to name each folder artist-album, and simply have them all listed? Or is there something I am doing wrong? I've searched the forum and my instruction manual for a solution but no luck...

Thanks!

Mine works the same way. From what I can tell it will only show folders in the "list view" when there are actual audio files in them. So when you organize them by Artist -> Album -> Track since the actual audio tracks only exist in the album subfolders, that is all it will show.

Its annoying since you can only see the album names and not the artists when scrolling through them, but other than that mine works really well with a 32GB usb stick and AAC files.

USB Formating

I renamed all my album folders to start with the artist name, but the first fifty or so displayed are not in alphabetical order, then the rest fall into correct alphabetical order. Any suggestions?

My random play works well; you can select random file within a folder or random folder.

2014 Head Unit, 64GB reformatted to Fat32, , 245 artist folders, 492 Album folders.

I found the answer for displaying USB contents in Alphabetical order. Use FAT Sorter v1.0.4. Download at http://www.fenux.net/story/fatsorteroneohfour
