Thats a good idea, but if there would be something like that for the gt86, we would have seen it aleady in some pictures. I think we need the aftermarket solution...

I was just gonna take a piece of 3/4 inch MDF or teflon, cut it to the shape of the opening, round over the edges, wrap it in a bit of foam and then cover it with some matching material. I hate having armrests that are different heights. From what I can see in the photos this should leave the door and center console armrests nearly even. I might even hinge it to get it to fit in the glove box for when I'm using the cup holders.

I would have thought the BRZ would have an armrest; it looks a bit unfinished without one.
I would love an armrest, but I use the cup holders way too much. I'll most likely, stuff my bag/jacket or a hoodie in there. |

You got that right buddy!
I am however going to miss having an arm rest, but I'll get over it if its not included in the BRZ.

I actually thought about the lack of any armrest, but then i actually realized i dont even use the armrest in my Corolla.
1.) Its too low compared to the door armrest. 2.) It doesnt stick out enough to even rest my arm on. 3.) I end up just resting my hand on the shifter. So the lack of armrest is nothign to me ![]() Which is leading me to wonder how far back those cupholders are (since they look like they're pretty far back in relation to the seating position) I think there was cupholders in the doors so it shouldnt be a problem. |
