^Try harder
. I'm just one division up from you on GTP registry and I'm not at the point where I don't see a reasonable chance of improving my time, so you should be able to match it

Hey T13R, did you save the replay with you using the DS3?

ft86Fan after watching your replay video a few times, I realized you were beating me by a whopping 0.75 seconds just on the last two corners!
I finally got a chance to drive a bit today and improved, though you're still about 0.19 seconds faster than me on the last two corners (that is to say, I have about a 0.2 lead going into them, which on this run evaporated to a 0.012 lead). Top Gear 1:22.879 - Deslock - G27 - Paddles Edit: I just remembered that the video I was watching was posted by ft86Fan not dsgerbc, so my original comment didn't make sense (I hadn't noticed that dsgerbc had also posted a ghost replay until this morning). When you say a division above me, you mean a subdivision or entire division? If you're in Division 1, then you are close to what I call alien territory!Quote:
Laguna Seca 1'43.657 - T13R - SixAxis - MT More than a few times I've been a little over .3 seconds faster to T2 only to have my ghost catch up to me it at the left hander before the cork screw, and then pass me at the cork screw. Right now a 1'43.1 is likely the best I can manage, Laguna Seca was never one of my favorite tracks but I'm starting to enjoy it more and more with this combo. |

Times updated but just to confirm, you're now using a Six Axis? If so congrats!
I forgot to reply to your earlier question about what sort of setup we have. This response might be too late, but FWIW I use a Fanatec RennSport Wheel Stand V2 and a common padded folding chair. A full-blown racing seat would be fun, and my kids would love it, but somehow I don't think my wife would be keen on it in the middle of the living room

Oh cool I just realized you posted the Top Gear replay too. I'll check it out... think I might try it with the clutch for a while, and then switch to Laguna Seca next week.

I worked for sony during PS3 development, yeah lol I had a part in the creation of the playstation 3 but the old model 60GB era. Now the difference between six axis and dual shock is just the shock it self. Regular six axis controller from the first gen ps3 has no vibrantion built into it. That is known as a six axis controller ,six axis refer to the motion control sensor which allow you to move the controller around and the ps3 will detect it similar to a wii mote. But with dual shock 3 its six axis combined with dual shock tech in one controller.that is a dualshock 3

When T13R posted he'd used a SixAxis a couple days ago, I hadn't heard of it, so I googled and found that there is a PS3 wheel called SixAxis. Now that you mention it, that looks like a kid's toy rather than a proper racing wheel, so I'm assuming T13R also was referring to the pre-DS3 version of the PS3 controller. Thanks for the photo and link; I'll clarify this in the OP. Quote:
