i ran into this problem the other day as well.
cusco pedal appeared to have plenty of clearance when i installed the mats but i guess that wasn't the case when driving. its a pretty easy fix, just take a utility knife and trim the top edge of the mat underneath the gas pedal. the rubber is soft enough to be cut without too much effort. |

Not sure, I had the shop do it, had them order it with the SC, didn't make sense to do it on my own at that point. I inspected it after (before I got the mats) looked like they used the black padding mat. The pedal is on pretty tight. I think it's my mat, looking at the picture above, mine doesn't seem to sit as flat on the top right corner as that one. One thing I did notice last night - there appears to be enough clearance just by looking at it, but shouldn't let that fool you, always better safe than sorry. |

***Just to clarify, this is not a picture of the original posters car who had the problem***
Mine looks ok, but I was able to recreate the scenario by lifting the Weathertech mat and flooring the accelerator causing the pedal to be trapped underneath. I will be putting some velcro on the bottom of my mat to keep it securely fastened to the floor. ![]() ***Just to clarify, this is not a picture of the original posters car who had the problem***

I think the most likely culprit is a slight deformation of your weathertech mats themselves. Try to take them out and reshape that lip a bit. |

I've been using the Weathertechs with Cusco pedal for a while now without issue...I think the original issue was probably an installation one. Still, caution is a good idea.

Installed my weathertechs today - there's plenty of clearance for the pedal.

I'm using the SRP gas pedal and haven't run into any issues with catching on the rubber mats- have been really happy with their product.
