If they can't fix it for whatever reason you can do it with a small drop of Super Glue. Something we used to do back in my military days; keeps the crack from running.

So when I was looking at cars, I drove both the BRZ and FR-S. It's a minor thing, but I kind of liked the BRZ's chrome exterior gas cap over the plain-jane painted one that comes on the FR-S standard. Is that a swappable part? If yes, can a newbie do it or it is something more complex than something simple?

I ordered FR-s/BRZ shift springs from MTEC industries. The second spring was a bitch to remove and re-install. Other then that, are working just great.

I'm a little tardy on updates so I'll see if I can catch up all at once.

Bought the car last Wednesday.(2013 Asphalt 6MT) Drove it to Palm Springs for the weekend on Friday. Picked up the springs Sunday night. Installed the lowering springs and Plastidipped the emblems Monday. It's Tuesday and the car is at the tint shop as I type this. Should be done before I get done with work.

Got first oil change at 1450 miles. Went to lunch while getting the service done by dealer. Got back to a scratched car - they ran it through the auto washer

without asking.

I posted a few days ago but I didn't get to post pictures of the results - here's my asphalt FR-S "Stormy" after getting opti-coated by the amazingly patient and talented Mr. Thomas Dekany. Here are the results after 9 hours of careful detailing and the opti-coat application:
