This^ Though you can try what I did before I turboed, take the silencers out, and grind or cut the welds and remove the tube from the silencer plate and put the plates back in. In my case it sounded kinda in between without the drone...

Not layout specific and I don't own an evo 3 but if you want a Helmholtz you could try that.

no cat in frontpipe doesn't change anything as far as CEL, the o2 sensors are all on the first cat.

I am with this guy but it's quite pricey

I've done some reading on drone and people seem to have good results with a Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator. Do a Google search on it. I'm looking to get one in the spring.
