3.15" pulley is fun. Midrange is improved. I have nearly 2-3psi to play it looks like on the boost gauge at ~2700rpm. Have not done high RPM running yet, not happy with my short term fuel trims at idle/cruise, although WOT AFR is safe (on the rich side)

This sounds oh so familiar. STFT, LTFT... I was told that i think it was LTFT, maybe STFT was actually being set by my ethanol content. I was seeing iirc 30+% SFTF on idle with ~E85.

Got a random P0103 yesterday at the top of a third gear pull, anyone ever get that before?

Freezeframe data just shows a lot of airflow (but not pegged out) maybe around 400 g/s (the service manual shows ~600-700 for the DTC to illuminate, indicating a short and the sensor showing MAX airflow it can read)

Could it just be the extra airflow due to the supercharger that freaked the ECU out?

If your intake didn't get wet, it's because of the extra airflow due to the cold temps.

My earlier Vortech tunes will trip this code when it's cold out, nothing to worry about. If your running my tune and dont have the latest version, please put in a request

btw, when your getting this code, a datalog with g/s isn't helpful for the tuner.. grab a datalog that has MAF Volts

Unplug & replug your extension harness and maf sensor, verify it is secure. I would have to verify the pinout but it seems like your freeze frame didn't actually collect any information. I don't see anything in the manual about a acceleration for MAF or anything like that. The maf uses a heater on a platinum wire and uses the difference to maintain heat to calculate g/s. You don't by chance have a MAF voltage from the freeze frame do you? I don't know if you can actually pull that, i haven't checked techstream to see if there was a MAF voltage freeze frame. MAF g/s is calculated MAF voltage is the raw data from the actual sensor.

I could see for-say the heater disconnecting for a split second and the platinum wire cooling down quickly and then the sensor reconnecting within a few MS and reporting a much higher than expected voltage? I would verify connection and only raise concern if it happens again. Just keep an eye on things. Or turn ecutek logging on with nothing but MAF voltage with the engine off (but ignition on) wiggle the wires, start the car, repeat. see if you get a fluctuation in the voltage at all. I could also see it being possible if there was too much moisture on the MAF sensor its self.

you should never have fuel trims of 30+% short or long term. sometimes i see short trims swing +/- 10% momentarily, but long trims are always zero or very close to it, and under stable conditions short term trims are the same.

more important is which load bucket the trims are in. if you were seeing 30+% ltft in the 40g/s+ load range, then that means you're adding 30% fuel under open loop. which, of course, means as soon as you reset your ecu and the trims zero out your running waaaaaaaaay lean in open loop. i've experienced this first hand with my old professional tune.

luckily this is all easy, though extremely time consuming to correct. anyone with a copy of excel and a free afternoon can do the job. the problem is most of us aren't allowed to fix these sorts of things, so we just drive around with wildly miscalibrated 'pro tunes' and hope someone we can't even get ahold of can fix it for us when they get time. isn't drm fun? lol

and wow visconti... you're like the dad that left me when i was 5 and wants to show up at my 16th birthday with a new car. not welcome! lol j/k. seriously though bro.. why the disappearing act? we don't bite.

if i understand correctly ecutek uses short term fuel trim to modify the fuel based off of the ethanol content input. So the short term fuel logging gets "skewed" at least thats what a tuner had told me. I would have to go through and find the email when i questioned why my short term fuel trims were so extreme.
