It won't be a new variant, just a refresh. Think of the s30z, it went from 240z, then 260z, and finally 280z before creating a whole new Z.

It must suck to be someone who worries about how much better a car two years or more away might be than what they are in right now.

Ah, now I understand why you think you know what's going to happen.

Nope. I have no clue. That's why I presented the question. All I know is that Toyota is releasing information at the Tokyo Auto Show. So those that care will know. If you don't care, then don't tune in.
Sorry for trying to share information to the people that do want to know.

The fact that you are saying Toyota "has" been testing all these motors makes it seem like you know everything that's happening. Are you Tada in disguise? No one knows what they've tested. It's all speculation at this point.

Well, given the number of people who seem to be soiling themselves over the Monogram 14's, I can't blame you for setting the 14-ers up already for needing a 15. I'm ashamed to be seen in mine now, knowing that somewhere out there is an FR-S owner who spent a grand on something as stupid as a glowing Scion badge front and back. Will there be a "Jumped The Shark" edition?

To be fair to OP and everyone who is waiting for more power from factory, the 2015 FR-S/ BRZ will probably be out by late summer.

HAHAH. Exact opposite. Posting because I am also personally interested.
I am a big fan of the FR-S. That's why I own one. I am also interested in a new one if it has more power.
Did you buy one like last month? why so mad?

Did my recent accident and total loss of my 2013 set me up for at least a monogram series!

Mad? Love mine, but I know how to drive a car that does not makes it's bones on power alone. The more power will make it better crowd almost always suck ass as drivers. Note for the stupid: More power would be nice, but that would only mean having to brake behind the non-driving dumbasses even earlier to set up for the corners.

Hahaha true! It wasn't made for guys who have the exit speed of a mule that just punch it down a straight away after they've brake checked you on entry.
