as of now, there is none.

My personal count is 7 cars with "updated" tunes, that have popped DI seals.

You are right, I shouldn't waste my breath voicing my displeasure about FR-S/BRZ to you, although I suspect that Toyota/Subaru reps may see these threads at some point and be concerned enough to do something... and we'd end up with the solution we are all after.

I should instead waste my breath commenting directly to Toyota/Subaru about their design flaw and lack of reaction to an issue I'm sure they are well aware of yet choose to play dumb.

7 out of 7 are tracked?

Would it be possible that the seals in those cars were already almost worn out by the time they were tuned?

Do we know if any 2014 car with the new ECU tune from factory has failed already?

Would a closer gear ratio set (less RPM dropped after upshifts) help mitigate the issue?

Do they actually wear? I don't know; I'm asking.

That's what I'm wondering, too. About the 2014 models, I mean.

2013 cars with new tunes have failed.

No, that would exacerbate the problem; the problem apparently occurs over 5200 rpm.

The problem happens both on and off throttle.... everyone only thinks it happens going ONTO the throttle...

1st time issues seem to USUALLY be covered, so just track it, and then after you need to warranty it once.... sell it?

Or, consider it part of the expense of tracking.

As always, YMMV.

When it blows up, I'm going to put my new replacement engine up for sale to fund an EJ swap. Those have their issues, but they're not this bad.

It's crazy hks some cars don't get it. Evasive hasn't had that problem and they ran pikes peak with 400hp under the hood. I'll still be doing my replacements mid December along w the pulley upgrade and fuel injector upgrades along w fuel pump. It'll be on the dyno at evasive too so hopefully no pop lolol.

I use quotes around "fix", because I personally don't think the "fix" did jack to help this issue. I'm sure you know who the 2nd person is, but I don't feel I should comment on that.
Are you running 91 octane or 93?
