The MPG figures arent comparable since it is on a different test cycle than the U.S. #s we are used to. If you want to make sense of it then I guess you could compare some other japanese car MPG to a US model with an identical engine and feature set. GT-R comes to mind...

I'm sure there are others but japanese models always seem to get smaller engines or less options.

Does that include a driver?
If so, we'd have 200kg for 3 passengers and the luggage. Even so, I hope it's a mistake.

I very much doubt it. And don't forget, you'll be carrying as much as 30kg of fuel.

Realistically, one passenger, a full tank of gas and a couple of bags (or your track tires) is just about as much as you should be carrying in this car.

That is for the auto, with a six speed it's 2706 lbs.

I believe that's the weight of the manual. The Subaru BRZ premium manual starts at 2,756 lbs.

So I am guessing the auto adds 44 lbs and the Limited adds 30-35 lbs.

I think its safe to say the FR-S manual will be 2,740 lbs as the HID's and Navigation system can't be more than 16 lbs extra.

I have a hard time believing leather, bluetooth, hd radio, satelite radio, push button start, heated seats, fog lights and a spoiler weigh 30 lbs. The radio parts add almost nothing as every car will be pre wired for those. leather isn't that much heavier than quality cloth and neither are the writing and switching for heated seats. the fog lights are the only items I see that have real weight and those can't be over 5lb each.

Boxer engines usually suck at fuel efficiendy but I'm expecting
this car to at least offer 32mpg like the GTI.

Those numbers are wrong. I remember even my 2007 mini cooper S had GVWR of 3400lb or higher while the car itself weighed about 2500lb.

Are the ft86 axles made of plastic or something? LOL. Those numbers ARE wrong.

leather seats could be pretty heavy if they are leather heated seats?
