Also just installed a rear cam (Rydeen Duo)... Can't say it's my favourite mod but definitely a really nice luxury

That would be my choice too, on lighter 8" rims.

Jealous!

I'll have to update my favorite ...... to the "Nameless" axle back muffler(s); 2.5" pipe, 5" mufflers. Now the rear end looks more like and the car sounds more like .... a sports car .....

I've not gotten one yet for the FR-S, but on a previous car, my favorite mod was a Short Throw Shifter. Totally changed the driving experience, in a good way. The stock shifter on the FR-S feels nice and the throws aren't long, but I still think a shorter shift would make the car a helluvalot funner to drive, and I'll probably be getting one next spring when I do my next cycle of mods.

My favorite mod is the one I did to myself..
I stopped wanting to mod this car and just started enjoying it for what it is...
So now I just drive it and enjoy the hell out of it with no warranty worries, no extra money spent, no busted knuckles, no dirt under my fingernails..
Less worry, less money, more carefree drive time..
After modding cars for almost 45 years and trying to get more out of it... I finally stopped to have some fun...

Can't stress how much I agree that this car needs an aftermarket exhaust/muffler...It enhances the driving experience x10000
Whichever route you choose is personal preference but I think we can all agree - stock sounds weak

Any video of how it sounds? I'm always contemplating a UEL header but my car is already pretty damn loud with my Magnaflow exhaust and I really don't want it any louder

Glad you're having fun! Personally I do a little of both...This car is my DD so I get to enjoy it every day but it's also my first car I've done any modding and so far it's been 100% DIY...Getting to enjoy those little mods that I've done myself are a different kind of enjoyment...So for me it's a little different but if I were doing it for 45 years I would most likely feel the way you dO!

How are you finding it? Is there any drone while cruising? How does it compare to you old ?Roadstersport for noise levels? I want something a bit more audible but not annoying.

Hello jonboy99 ......

Did you cross over from a miata?

The sound of the nameless (with 2.5" piping and 5" mufflers) is about the same as the RoadsterSport on the miata, with the supplied inserts installed.

The nameless doesn't "drone" at speed as long as it is constant. However, upon acceleration, it will make some sound, heard in the cabin (about as much as the sound generator).

The outside sound is just right (for my ears). You can hear me coming and going, but it doesn't scream ... LOOK AT ME!

I've found that the Nameless system, to the FR-S, is about the same as the RoadsterSport I muffler, was to the NC (Miata) as far as giving the exhaust note a "sports car sound".

PS - The nameless system does not burble or pop on de-acceleration like the RS did ..... for whatever that's worth.

Lil bit of ashless or very low ash (good quality) 2 stroke oil added before fill-ups (1/1000 ratio)

I've been using the Lucas stuff since its the only "better" one I've found locally. Crickets went away immediately.
