I enjoy how everyone is questioning Moto-san's source.

Look it this way, if this helps. When you guys didn't even knew about F-86 Concept, he was already talking & discussing about this car with Tada-san (Chief Engineer of FT-86 Concept) at the Starbucks. Before you guys see the final productions with specs, he saw it. While you guys are debating it's coming to Toyota or Scion, he was already talking w Scion & GReddy to bring their FR-S to the local Car & Coffee. While you guys are drooling over how awesome 86 Style event happened in Japan, he was shaking hand with Keiichi Tsuchiya talking with him at the event (cuz they know each other. D1 USA & GT Live... yeah Moto-san coordinated that event). Afterward eating dinner with Tada-san to hear detail future sports car that's coming. Giving tour around to Tada-san, Iida Akira, & other important Toyota reps and making small events for 86/Toyota fans bringing all these people to the event.

I can think a ton of reasons why I believe his source.

Again, do any of you have better source than him?

Sorry I won't believe this is true until someone delivers one to me with keys in hand. Also please make sure it's free and clear. Maybe a white one. (thanks)

My best guess from memory of new standard kit is 10 Series + $2K.

10 Series intro MSRP = $27,425

BeSpoke w/ navi = $850?

Leather heated seats = $800?

Arm rest = 100?

Spoiler = $350?

Previously announced 2014 price increase = $350

We're easily looking at $30K. Still unknown is numbers that if produced in as few numbers as iQ could make them the hottest GT of 2014MY.

i called Scion Headquarters and they confirmed it will be available early 2014. what more do you need? "2014 Scion FR-S Monogram Edition"

Pricing and release wasn't available when i contacted. they are super uptight about the gritty details

no clue. I would assume that if the 10 series has it, the monogram will too. If it doesn't, most likely not.

just from what I've seen/heard so far

For crying out loud, my local dealership told me "Scion Canada doesn't want to release details" so he doesn't know anything about it ... Sigh. All I want is for them to know more than us, for a change!

That would mean that they would actually have to care about the product they are selling.

Haha. Sounds about right. The seller at this dealership has owned a few drift cars and he was talking to me about it. Sounds like an enthusiast to me. I guess I'm just disappointed that's all eh

for 95% of the sales force in dealerships, they don't care about the cars themselves, they just memorize the bare minimum in stats to sell them (MPG, price, highlight luxuries, etc). Ask them a technical question and they'll take an educated guess (usually wrong), look confused (usually a rookie) or say "I'll have to check into that for you." The sad part is the car enthusiasts who get into car sales do a great job, but end up leaving the industry because of the beige corporate mindset that allows for nothing but the company bottom line.

Quote:
"Hey, I sold 5 cars this month and my customers have nothing but great things to say about me!"

"Yeah, well Johnson over there sold 15 and we never hear from his customers again."
Guess who is employee of the month?
