The only thing I can think of as far as upgrades would be: new gears (rear end), (no shift kits of course), maybe the cusco rear differential brace, stronger axels ?? Otherwise, we're not making tremendous power that you'll need typical things you'd upgrade with say muscle cars from 60s-70.

I would wait for @Visconti and EcuTek to come up with an automatic transmission program flash. Your car would be on fire then.

Just a heads up. The tranny will not hold up over time. I have 32, 000 miles on my FRS and the Pinion bearing is going out. This zis not from my driving after my turbo install but from the previous owners spirited driving habits into trees I guess, lol. He drove it mostly as a travel car for work about 3 1/2 hours a day for a year plus three wrecks all in the front end. So to conclude and answer your question, the rear end is weak. Thank God that that Toyota is being so gracious to replace the whole rend end under warranty because I had a ticket there prior to my engine mods complaining about everything that I thought could go wrong in the future. That saved my ass, plus im getting a new ECU and few other engine parts. It pays to look ahead and have friends at the dealerships!
