The fact is that there really isn't a premium to pay. LJ offers his kits with his customer service for the same price as his competitiors. The only difference is he tells you what you need to have and provides it in his kits.

Oh I know. I worded that wrong. I didn't pay extra for the service, that came built into the price. I'm just personally willing to pay more if it gets me better customer service

Man is that the truth. A lot of other companies start the pricing with lesser packages, but in the end the cost is going to rise to a level you were probably not ready to pay. In other words the prices online for FI kits are not what the true cost will end up being.

To all new drivers who are going FI. You will need to have quotes written up from all Tuners you are considering, with all the items you would like. Then you can compare true prices between vendors. This is assuming you kept your quotes apples to apples.

Basically what I am trying to say is, look at the MSRP on the FI kit you want. Then tack on at least 33% more and likely closer to 100%(double the price) more in cost. That is likely to be closer to a true cost to complete.

Example: $4000.00 kit will likely run you $5300 to $8000.00 before you are done with a finished car. This all depends on options and whether or not you do the work yourself. Don't think because you saved up enough money for a kit that you are ready to move forward. I say this because 10 years ago...I did it myself.

Finally, E85. Well what can i say.Its better, much better. Not only is the car a whole lot faster, but once warmed up the idle sound is smoother and a bit quieter. The exhaust is quite different on E85. Its not as eager to get loud and obnoxious. It waits an additional 500-1000 rpms before the sound really pics up. The overall sound is bit smoother sounding if that makes since. The power delivery is better with the E85, its smoother. In fact the car just seems smoother on E85. I have noticed this with other cars as well.

Power, plenty on tap. However you will have to learn how to use it. You will not ever just pop this car into 1st or 2nd and even 3rd somewhat and just let WOT take care of your acceleration. She will spin, but its fun. Now you must drive the car and pick what power you want to lay down. Its not particularly hard to do, but you will push the gas to find the sweet spot…and not just slam it to the ground. In other words small controlled moves will do big things to this car. Like a fighter jet.

I most certainly prefer the car on E85. I have only had about 50 miles( about an hour of playing) so far of E85 driving. However, it is the way to go if you have the ability. If you don't, i am so very sorry. I know one thing, i would love to put a longer final gear in this car. With the E85 power delivery, she would be great with say a 3.55 or something like it in the rear. 2nd gear was already a fun gear in this car. Probably the funnest of all six. It still is, but 3rd is my new favorite and 4th is a close second.

Anyways, I will continue to update and share my thoughts as i drive more.

At first I thought I noticed that the car drives at slower speeds (driveways, parking lots)
smoother in E85. After playing with it for about 10 or 15 minutes I am sure that the car moves and drivers easier at low speed on E85 than 91.

Can anyone really tell me why this is? Is it easier to get a smoother throttle response on E85 from a tuning perspective.

Anyway, still loving the car. I got into with an S2000 (yeah I know its not fair, but he started it) he had no idea what was in store. I Slowed down to just chat and say good run....but he pulled off before he got back to me. Oh well.

It's the 1000cc injectors. You have to turn them down so much on 91 at low speeds that they aren't efficient. With e85 u need more fuel so the injectors need to be opened a lot more so they're back in their efficiency range hence the better drivability.
