Learned manual on this car, don't regret buying MT at all, very fun to drive and actually prefer driving a manual
Next car has to be a MT as well!

After first driving this car as MT i was so happy on how much easier it is to drive than other MT's.. The feel is just perfect.

I came from a manual '05 Impreza, and a '98 SE-R, the clutch and shifter combination in the BRZ is light years better than what I had been used to. The Impreza had an even longer clutch travel, heavier clutch feel, long throws on the shifter that are vague and notchy in almost every gear. But once I got used to it, I don't even think about it.
I personally think the clutch and shifter combo in the BRZ is among best of anything I've driven, and I've driven Integra Type-R, TSX, Lotus Esprite, etc. Lotus Esprite from the '90, which had the heaviest clutch and most terrible shifter of anything I've driven. Clutch and shifter is just one of those things to get used to, and it's not hard for me to get used to the ones in the BRZ. As for Autos, I would not pay more money to have less fun. But my wife would pay more money to do less work. So it all depends on your perspective. Last edited by hiroanz; 11-06-2013 at 02:26 PM. |

To add, majority of drivers regardless of make of car are pretty lazy when comes to learning how to drive and don't care to learn. They just want to get from A to B in the most comfort and ease! Also, the majority of drivers as a whole don't find driving enjoyable like generations before us had as they are being forced to drive to work greater distances because they can't afford to live closer, and combined with a few other variables - driving has officially become a chore! |

my requirements for a car was that it MUST be rwd, and stick. i had fwd and auto before, and i ended up using the manual mode on it most times..
of course it's slower to do ti that way, but it's not the speed that interests me..
