From reading around this forum, people seem to have no issues with removing all the oil with the front of the car higher that the rear on ramps, so I would think you would be ok with the front jacked up some.

If you do it and get at least 5.5 QT out you should be good

Just completed my first oil change on this car at 4350 miles.
Used my trusty old rhino ramps I've had for 20+ years.
Car just dove up with no problems or clearance issues.. Oil change was easy.
Hardest part was separating the factory crush washer from the drain bolt.
It was painted black like the bolt and I had to use a razor to separate it from the bolt. Very easy to do on this car.. Especially the filter.. Like my bimmer.. Easy access up top.

Yes it's all screwed together:

But you can make it like lego if you want. Here is the site I got the info from to make it: http://www.myturbodiesel.com/1000q/multi/wood-block.htm (My setup and measurements differ slightly from what is on the site)

As for maxing out the jack it's not too bad:

http://farm4.staticflickr.com/3747/1...ff49e7c8_b.jpg

I can even stack my suv on it, but I got to use blocks on the jack:

Hmm, I will do this next summer! Will be useful when I'm going to install exhaust, but probably end up getting someone else to do it for me.

I usually just drive half way up the rhino ramp (using 2x4s before the slope), then jack my car up since I don't have racing jacks for oil changes.

1) pull in garage, air all the way up
2) slide drain pan under car, open up fumoto drain valve
3) unscrew filter and replace while oil is draining
4) close valve, remove drain pan, fill car and start, then check level - add oil if needed

lol

Just jack up the passenger side of the car, near the front, like how you would do if you're changing the front passenger tire. There's plenty of room to slide under there to drain the oil. Even easier with a Fumoto drain valve! The oil drains out towards the driver's side anyway, so jacking from the passenger side helps drain the oil out more thoroughly.

Maybe I'm just an old fart but I just drive the car up onto the curb and get under it. And I have rhino ramps jackstands and floor jacks...

Not sure about the 108S, but this is the exact one I got:
[ame="http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B003VCCUJI/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1"]Amazon.com: Fumoto F-108 Engine Oil Drain Valve: Automotive[/ame]

You hand tighten it first, then just gotta use a big wrench or adjustable wrench to tighten it some more.

can't go wrong with either one, both are made for the FRS/BRZ, the 108s have a short nipple that allows you to attach a hose to it for convenient draining.......

some people just use the jack and trust that alone. i sometimes do, im only under there for a few seconds. if u wanna be safe 2 stands and a jack under the rear you should be more than fine unless your on a hill or on the street or something. just shake the car before you get under it. you'll be ok.
but ramps are safer i guess.

I use Pittsburgh Automotive's 3-Ton Low Profile Floor Jack and jack stands.

I use rhino ramps to get he front of the car up in the air. When performing a tranny/diff flush, i use two jack stands to prop the rear up while using rhino ramps in the front to get the car level.

Just a jack is a dumb idea. Use stands *and* a jack, at the minimum. Many people will take a wheel and put it under the car as well.
