Sorry for the late post when I installed strut bar I used cheap torque wrench which was set to 12 ftlbs but bolts were over torqued and even though the bolts did not totally snap the were damaged. After applying alot of hard time on the car bolts gave way and totally snapped thats why they were still in the holes and easy to find. I cant say this enough buy quality tools! Since the incident ive drilled out old studs and replaaced the studs with better materials. Sorry Grimmspeed

If you bought that recently I would be inclined to have it calibrated, by comparing it with an accurate torque wrench and then taking it to the retailer with a bill for the repair.

Also, to make sure none of the load from the movement of the towers is taken as shear loading by the studs, I think the brace should be centred over those studs. Making sure there is an even clearance around them all before carefully fitting the nuts and making sure it doesn't move as it's nipped into place before torqueing it up.
That might being going over the top but it wont do any harm.

Just cleaned up the logo on mine with a file, wet and dry and some polish.
Looks good.

there arent rear struts. im sure the difference would be less than significant because the rear wheels arent steering and the shocks arent really load bearing like the front struts are.

hm true, but they can still flex as well as carrying 49% of the weight. acceling out of turns applies even more pressure

the rear shocks carry closer to 0% of the weight because unlike a macpherson strut, the shock in a double wishbone setup isnt designed to bear the load of the car.

modern cars are built so much better than when strut tower bars were helpful. so i dont think these strut bars do much in terms of performance. i can see maybe getting a little more responsiveness but thats because the fronts are steering. i dont think there would even be a subjective improvement with a rear shock brace.

Just installed mine and I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was. I can tell this bar had a lot of thought put into it and the quality is amazing. After a quick test drive I can say that I can definitely feel the difference. Thanks Grimmspeed for making a great product!

I thought they decided against it because there was no noticeable gain from upgrading those.
