Give those tires a good couple hundred kms of driving before you get too worried...new tires are greasy.

What Roddy said. ^^
"Some" tire manufacturers use a release agent from the molding process which can make the tires a bit slippery on first use, but more commonly you need to take it easy for the first little bit to scuff the tire gently to make it work the best.

I haven't the slightest idea how relatively crappy factory tires could outperform new winter tires in wet conditions!? I'm hoping the fact that they are brand spanking new might be a factor. Will be contacting the vendor next week to get his thoughts.

ive had general tire altimax arctics on multiple vehicles and have always been very happy with them. never been stuck and had them on my ex's accent and my old tiburon and will be getting some for paulines new car shortly. i would recommend them for sure as they are very price friendly and an eccelent tire.

@FRSToyota86 - what is your suspension setup and wheel/tire combo - if you don't mind me asking?
If there is a build thread just point me to it if you want

Never mind - watched the video posted by Yonaka of your lap and the specs for your setup

Yeah, it's a good line that works well with our lightweight cars.

So I was heading back from Toronto yesterday and decided to pull a Kramer. My gas light was on when I left the 400 and wanted to wait till I got out of town to fuel up.

Well I made it to Bowmanville well below the E line, and finally fueled up.
I usually put about 45 litres in when empty, so I think I barely made it to the gas station.

Livin' dangerously!

I am glad you made it. I was in a similar situation this week. I finally made it to the Shell station at St Laurent and Heron rd on a completely empty tank only to find out they were out of V-power. Anyways I finally made it to the next Shell without ending up pushing the car in. I think I should try filling up more often to avoid this situation from reoccurring again.

First off Holy shit! You were definately on fumes. I believe the manual states 50 litre tank. You have surpassed that number. Well played sir. Bowmanville eh? At least were close to some corn fields for some E85 if need be.

You are a brave man. I usually hit the next station after my warning light goes off even though I know it has a lot of gas left.

It's better than the walk of shame with a gas can.

Still like it, unfortunately mine seemed to be 1 in a million that didn't quite fit properly. Left tip sticks out more no matter what I did. Good sound, minimal drone. Lighter weight and unnoticible power gains like most mods! Lol. But we do it out of the love.
