Cut your spring? That sounds like a horrible idea. What psi spring did your kit come with? Is it opening at idle at all?

Cutting your spring is a horrible idea. With the tial Q BOV its very important to use a 1/4" or bigger vaccum line to supply it like the instructions says. And it also helps to tap the vaccum source as close as possible to intake manifold for quickest response. Mine fluttered before I did these things and now it doesn't. I'll post some pics to of how I have mine tapped

It came with the yellow 11pound spring I have 22hg in vacuum so this spring should work but it never opens ever

I don't think the existing tee for your other stuff should matter but I think the blow off valve should have its own dedicated tee in front of the other tee. I used a 3/8" -3/8" to 1/4" tee on the brake booster line right behind the intake manifold, with 1/4" inner diameter reinforced fuel line as the vacuum line. Please excuse the zip ties, the line is tight it's just an extra precaution....

Also your shop is wrong about the bov working off of psi not vacuum, it's the opposite. It works off of vacuum. Whatever psi of boost you are running is also flowing through that line and adding that pressure along with whatever spring pressure you already have to keep the bov from opening under boost. For example if you have a 10psi spring in your bov, and you are running 8 psi, 10+8 =18psi , meaning it will take at least 18psi of pressure through your charge pipes to make that bov "fail" or open prematurely. But it also makes that bov harder to open under vacuum because of the stronger spring in your bov. You very well may need a weaker spring but you should definatley change your line size as well... Here's a link to the tial website with the bov info and spring chart. None of this post is meant to sound mean either just informative

Hit the track last night. I really need to get a drag radial. This is my best pass, which still consisted of a bog and some wheel spin in1st and 2nd.

I'm at about the 430hp range on this run.

That's pretty poor for the claimed power.

For being on an 18" street tire, bogging and spinning. I don't think so. That is a high to mid 11 sec mph on slicks with a good 60'.

I'd expect mid 12's from a 1250kg rwd car on street tyres. Infact i've experienced it and it's fairly repeatable, driver-dependant. Oh and that was only with 330bhp, not "430hp", which I assume is measured at the wheels, so ~500bhp.

It is what it is. Either the car is not very good at drag, the driver is not great, or it's not putting out as much power as claimed.

It does, but what you both need to consider all aspects of the time slip.
