That doesn't sound very friendly , he has every right to be here.... it's the internet. I don't own an 86 yet and i'm on these forums almost every day. Any smart buyer would follow what they are interested in buying a before they buy it, even if it's a few years out.

^ my thoughts as well (I'm also a future buyer that has been lurking in the shadows for several months)

on a side note Anomie, why does your profile say "Drives: 2013 FRS" if supposedly you don't have one yet... unless you consider all those test drives sufficient to put it in your profile haha. I think I'm on test drive 5 so far (3 FRS's and 2 BRZ's).

Haha it wouldn't let me register without filling that part out and I don't drive anything right now since I sold my car to buy an 86. So I just put that in to register, funny enough I'll probably end up in a BRZ within a week or so, not an FRS. We shall see!

if the monogram series FR-S is comparable price (and spec) to the BRZ Limited, i think i'm going with the BRZ. IMO, the BRZ headlight design and DRL's are better, the head unit is better, and I like the rear spoiler a bit more as well. Really the only things that the Monogram would have over the BRZ would be the frameless mirror (i'd want homelink in the BRZ anyways), a little better looking front bumper, and the center console arm rest. decisions, decisions.

We need to update this for the monogram series, it might be handy still for you.

Going by what I've heard around these forums the FR-S has the better head unit. Not the first edition stock head unit, the one that comes with the 2014 version and 10 series. It's more powerful (watts) and has navigation/aha optional add-on as well. Here's a video:

I'm not saying the BRZ head unit is terrible, just I've seen plenty of complaints about it as well as the first edition Scion, but most seem to love the 2014/10 Series one.

yeah, like I said, it was just personal preference of the GUI of the system after I messed around with them on test drives but maybe that preference would change after some quality time spent with each. What I thought was weird was that when I was at the Scion dealership looking at the 10 series, I told them I wanted to make sure the unit had GPS capability (non-phone dependant) and they said that the GPS would only work if I had an iPhone??? doesn't make much sense to me and they seemed confused when they told me that.

Thanks for the spreadsheet comparison. You should put the options top-to-bottom instead of left-to-right for better readability.

That seems a bit quite mean. :T I own a 2013 genesis sedan. And I'm dedicated in buying an frs/86/brz...and constantly on the forums via phone or computer so what's the big deal in calling others out, brotha? :T

Curiosity question, where does this info come from? I've searched and all I come up with is the same quote as the OP (with no link to anything official) and stuff about the Monogram IQ.

Only extra option in the Monogram Series that appeals to me is the "BeSpoke Premium Audio featuring aha (includes navigation)" that I didn't opt for with my Scion purchase. I prefer getting a BETTER aftermarket audio than the BeSpoke. I would be really interested in an Android based infotainment system than the sucky Bespoke.

The other extras not really interested in or I already installed aftermarket parts at a cheaper price than a dealer would charge to install it.
