I was reading on the DMV website that "new vehicles with less than 7500 miles were prohibited" to registering in CA. Can anyone elaborate on this?

"California law prohibits residents or businesses from importing and/or registering a new vehicle with less than 7,500 miles at the time of purchase unless it meets or is exempt from California Emission standards."

That last part is the key. Just make sure it's a CA spec car.

For you guys that bought your BRZ from CO and paid for it to be shipped, do you pick what day is best available for you? Or is it pretty much however fast they drive it to the destination. How great / bad is the shipping process?

I didn't pick the day, but they did give me a decent estimate of arrival. They gave me an estimate of "Friday or Saturday" and ended up being Saturday. You can also ask for the drivers phone number so you can get a better estimate. I work about 5 min from my home, so I just told the driver to give me a 10 min heads up so I could take a lunch break to receive the car.

The shipping quality was good. They placed my car in the front bottom, directly behind the driver. This insured there wouldn't be an excessive amount of dead bugs glued to the car. It did arrive quite dusty, but that seems unavoidable unless covered.

If the car shipped on a Monday... Anyone know how many days it might take to get to San Diego, CA from Heuberger Motors in CO??

My car shipped on a Tuesday and arrive in the SF area on Thurs night. Depends on the other stops before you and the route.

Mines went on the shipping truck on Monday (yesterday).

My car came last Saturday. The truck that Heuberger uses is great. The driver was a really awesome guy (Doug). Called me with plenty of advance notice, and was really cool to talk to.

I'm really happy about the whole delivery process. I still need to go to the DMV and register the car, which I will get to in the next week or so I guess.
