Moot point perhaps - mine are going on as I type this, non wrapped.
We don't recommend wrap. If done too tight it will not allow for propped expansion and contraction of the steel when it heat cycles.

Thanks for the quick reply, @JDLAutoDesign

Headers are on now. Here's before & after dynos with just the header added + a slight retune.

My Blitz Nur Spec Ti-C exhaust seems to be restricting further power gains. Love what this header alone does to the torque curve though. Power gain was nice too. Feels great out on the road.

And yeah, sounds like secks.

Is it accurate to say maybe 10% are getting EL version? Is that just because of people's desire for the boxer sound? Do the EL versions not yield better dyno results?

I'm pretty dam convinced of these just trying to determine differences in performance of the two versions and sound here on these.

Well bob over at drift office installed and dyno'd my JDL UEL headers and made a thread about the results if you guys are curious. It's amazing how some headers a tune can wake the car up. I am so happy with the results!!

Nice numbers @Drift-Office

Yep, looks like these headers are effective AND sexy looking.

What's your take on ceramic coating? Will I be waiting 6 months if I order these now?

Very happy with my JDL UEL. Starting my second track day with it + E85 today and I've been having a blast!

What would be the lead time difference between EL and UEL ? A month or more would sway my decision.

Do you realize they are a 2-3 man operation? You will be waiting longer than a month because the demand is high, plus the dyno results came out. If you want the best UEL, you will have to patiently wait like everyone else did. If you want trash, you can buy a Borla within a week.

We are 4 now we hired a good friend and long time fabricator to work on other pending order so Jesse could move through these headers. Our plan is continue to build them so we have some in stock. That hasn't happened as of yet as orders keep rolling in.

We offer that option. Black and Titanium are about a week after completion. Chrome intakes longer. Its usually about 3 weeks

Read a little more closely and you might realize that I was asking whether the lead time was longer for one version than the other.
