I'm still appreciating my BRZ in its stock form (kind of)
So far I've only done:
HKS drop in Air Filter
Full LED bulb replacement

Will start getting these after winter, in order:
Eibach Multi-Pro R1 or R2
18x9.5 Gramlights 57Xtreme +40 - Matte Graphite
255/35R18 Michelin Pilot Super Sport
Perrin 2.5" Resonated Cat Back
Nameless 2.5" Catted Downpipe

In-between those would be some tiny mods like:
Escort Passport 9500ix Red Radar Detector
Lukas LK-7900 Dash Camera
Crystal Eye Tail Lights Smoked
Perrin Lightweight Pulley Set (when they come out)

I made my list before I bought the car and did 90% of it at once. My last project car I did piece by piece and I ended up always feeling like I was going to have the car I wanted. It was so nice when I was finally driving the car that was in my head. This time around I bought the car, broke it in, got all the work done, and now drive my dream daily driver: Supercharged, brakes, audio, dd suspension, etc.

My list is almost complete. When I started it was pretty long. I would say about 90-95% of them are done. I wants some Aero on the car, Front lip and Sideskirts but isn't allowed by class rules I am participating in with my car. I have a LSD to do and Rear adjustable control arms left out of about a 10k built..
Header- done
Exhaust-done
Tune-done
Intake-done
Lightweight pully-done
Lightweight battery-done
Stoptech Brakes front-done
Subaru 2pot rear brakes-done
Suspension-done
Rims/tires-done
Stainless lines-done
Swaybars-done
Bushings-done
bunch of other stuff that no one else is interested in -done

I had a list - but after 16+ months of ownership, I haven't done anything but drive it.

I will do wheels at some point. I love how a 1" drop looks BUT I just clear every curb including the one IN my garage (don't ask), so any drop and I'd be scraping everything.

Power? Vortech announced their supercharger is CARB legal! But before they announced that, I bought a Dinan supercharged V8 BMW as a spare car - so while completely different to my BRZ, the BMW is extensively modified which means the BRZ doesn't need loads of power. It's pretty fun the way it is.

I modified my WRX here and there - little upgrades year after year. I've had that for 11 years now - and it's lightly modified, though still riding the stock suspension setup.

I'm in no rush to modify the BRZ. When it happens, it happens.

I've got a yellow sticky note folded up in my wallet. When I think of something I'd like to do, I write it down. It helps me get over the "I just thought of this, I should do it immediately before I forget about it" feeling. Once something's been on the list for awhile, it gets incorporated. For me, there's kinda like 4 stages of mods.
1. Is it actually worth the money? Will it improve my driving experience enough to justify it?
2. If it passes the first question, do I have the time to do the mod? Do I have the right tools and skills to do it? Is there a low enough risk of me screwing something up?
3. If it passes the second question, do I have the time to do sufficient research to make a smart buying decision? Are there any drawbacks to it? Is it worth buying now, or waiting for?
4. If it passes the third question, I find the best place to order from, and I buy it.

To document (mostly for myself, because I don't have it typed anywhere)

Mods complete:
Opti-coat
Opti-glass
Clear Bra
Euro Armrest
Soundproofing full interior (95% complete, need to fix fitment of carpet around gas pedal, replace a lost push-pin, replace a couple bent clips in the door, replace the screw for the gas cap release lever cover)
Dashcam hardwire
Radar detector hardwire
Sound tube plug
OEM mudguards

Mods in-progress:
Back-up camera (installed $30 Metra one which has a poor FOV, considering replacing it with a better one, maybe an OEM pull from another car, I really like the Ford ones)
Black interior conversion (currently plasti-dipped my OEM, but I have the full OEM black set on order from Japan)
Winter wheels/tires (currently have older WRX 16" wheels with medium tread allseason tires, plus gold plasti-dip that I want to apply before I swap them on)
Impreza Steering wheel audio controls (currently have the controls velcro'ed to the center console, need to repaint the bezel and find a secure, decent looking mounting method)

Mods under consideration:
JDM kneepads
FR-S shift knob
Replace Escort Smartcord with Escort Smartcord Live
Functional rear fog light
Replacement front fog lights (yellow?)
TRD door stabilizer
70-80% ceramic tint for heat rejection (maybe in the spring)
JDM Clear front sidemarkers w/ amber bulbs (possibly set to alternate flash with the turn signals)
Floor mats/trunk mat
Master cylinder brace

I noticed most of you guys have pretty substantial lists. Have you even considered financing? Some performance parts companies like us offer financing (or at least the major companies that can get financing for their customers ). It usually comes with pretty low interest too (4-6% tops). Then you don't have to settle for cheaper parts and get the good stuff because it's not a huge difference on the monthly payment.

Food for thought

I'll post my list once I "finish" it, I.E. when I'm happy with it when I save the file.

Right now I've got 40+ items on the list not including suspension, wheels or tires.

I'm working on exterior modifications right now!
