I have the scion BeSpoke head unit. It has a deprecate sub control.

Meh don't think I can do it in the brz without adding an amp or other methods damn head unit

You can install bass blockers. They are like $5

How did you hook up the input to the amp, I assume you are using a line out converter or did you use speaker level? I will look up the subaru wiring layer tonight and see if I can help.

Yep used a converter only thing I can think if is the amp isn't feeding enough power but it's rated 627 rms and the sub is 500 so that shouldn't be the case
