Damn, Toyota/Scion just gave a huge FU to all of those who went out and bought the first year FR-S and 10 Series.

I'm to all of the foolios who were bashing those who waited. "oh if you wait, then you're never gonna get one..."

If it's pretty much the same as a BRZ Limited for about the same price, I would be interested for looks alone. Prefer the Toyota instrument panel/cluster.

The new center armrest has got to be better than that stupid plastic cup holder thing we have.

Well fuck. I mean that in a good way though. I like the bonuses of the 10, minus the radioactive badges/logo, and liked the color... But now they go and do this.

Oh well, still have my finger off of the trigger for now. For the amount they'll probably ask, I'll likely find a used one and add everything minus the HVAC, which I really don't care about anyway, and still come out cheaper.

Is it because it brings up images of rice boys in their tCs and xBs or it's the Toyota Hyundai? I have a tC because I like the car but didn't like the ricer crowd that's why I was initially turned off from the FR-S (was planning on buying a white Limited BRZ and installing a FR-S front bumper).

I don't own one so I can't say anything about that, but in my DDing I always use my cupholder for coffee. Not saying it would make or break anything. Just curious about what the end result will be.

Think of this possible scenario: Someone was waiting for the 10 Series, buying in no rush, picked it up, but now there's this. I wonder what @supra2nv has to say about this since he didn't seem to be in any particular rush to buy his FR-S that's now a GT-86 TRD.
I love my 10 series. I'm moving forward with my engine build. I picked up raven from
Crawford today and gave "him"
10 series...now I wait. That's what I say

Toyota's just raiding the parts bins of the JDM 86... how many other parts are left for them to entice potential customers? They're going to have to increase the HP sooner or later. Why don't they throw us a bone and make their myriad of OEM accessories available state/Canada side? For a brand that prides itself on individuality there's not much to choose from?!?!

I am not upset at all about this. I bought the 10 series because I liked the front end better than the BRZ, but wanted the climate control, smart key, and the headlights. I also love the color. It would have been nice to have alcantara or leather interior, but that is not as important to me. In the end I didn't care about the heated seats and mirrors. I added my own spoiler, 5 axis, and the JDM armrest myself. It is not like you can't add these yourself. I am sure Toyota/Scion is going to charge through the nose for these, "extra options". Just take your car and customize it with what you want. After all, that is the point of these cars. I am having a blast with my 10 series!

The only difference between the BRZ Limited and this is really just the arm rest and kneepads. Everything else is the same for all intents and purposes. Now if the seats are full perforated leather with heaters, then I might have some buyer's remorse, but not really since the Limited is still more bang for the buck. With Clint's below-invoice pricing, it's a no-brainer if you want even half those features unless the JDM lights are that important. There is absolutely no way that Scion can touch $26.6k even in M/T.
