Who else has a modification plan?

Am I the only one?

Ever since I started seriously shopping for this car I've been looking around on the forums and finding mods to do on my car.

So far there's like 50 modifications I want to buy for the car when it gets here...going to take a few years but I've got it planned out

Anybody else keep a list like this? What's on your list?

I always do. Same thing I did with my truck before I traded it in for this car as shown below. it was stock when I got that.

To answer this, the main thing I want is exhaust (still undecided which one). I want a nice set of wheels (again undecided) and Ecutek after I do an exhaust. That's pretty much it. I'm trying not to go all "mod happy" on this car.

Definitely have a list, it's pretty short though:

Done:
Smoked sides
Drop in filter
Wheels
Lowering springs

To do:
New tails
Tint
Custom tune
Catback

Things like headers/midpipe/etc are 'would be nice' but they aren't on my list of 'must have' in order to get the car where I want it.

I think everyone here has one. Personally I find that mine changes frequently lol

Yep, everyone has one and they're always changing, some more than others. The details of mine change from time to time, but the overall plan has not changed:

1. Make the car as light as possible
2. Get it dialed in (suspension, brakes, braces, etc.)
3. Power

i don't consider mine so much of a list as much as a state of normalcy for me.. i just can't accept a car in stock form..

but overall, my list is the same things i did to my last car, just tweaked a little to match the new car's style...(stereo, massive amounts of custom-made led stuff, then maybe wheels/tires/brakes/suspension if i get around to it)

I have a basic idea of what I would like to accomplish on the car. No exact parts (examples, I want an exhaust, just not sure what one. I want a wing, just not sure what one), but a list, yes.

here's my list:

1. win the lotto
2. buy a 911 gt3
3. turn brz into a rally car and lift it about 3" just to make people go "WTF?!"

but seriously:

Most likely to actually get done:
1. tires - 245/40/17 MPSS + wheels 17x8 OZ Ultraleggeras
2. coilovers - KW v3 (or KW clubsports if I actually do win the lotto)

Less likey to get done...but still plausible:
3. headerback + tune

Very unlikely...but a man can dream cant he?:
4. POWERRR
4a. LSx swap ORRRRRRR custom turbo setup similar to the P-Tuning setup
4b. Replace clutch/driveshaft/axles after I blow them up.

i used to do that but after a couple cars, ive realized the futility and the waste of resources that happens. now that i have a more clear perspective and can really assess what i want form a car, i can drive it like it is and fix the shortcomings as i find them. im sure its a cheaper, more fulfilling route.

'fulfilling' is a matter of personal preference.. i don't mod my cars for anyone else's benefit but my own, as my car is as much an expression of myself as it is a hobby, just like i rebuild and destroy r/c helicopters(i swear they fly into the ground all by themselves!).. on paper, it doesn't make any sense at all, but it gives me enjoyment, so that's why i continue doing it..

i guess i should have prefaced that i almost despise cars. working on them is the worst. driving them however, is a joy. having an amazing car means little to me. i just work to make my driving experience as enjoyable as possible. many times before i have spent money on things that i didnt utilize to the extent that i imagined so now i wait until the car shows a deficit and i fix it. its cheaper for me and i get at least the same amount of joy plus knowing that i was more efficient chasing needs rather than wants. i guess the choice is what makes us spend so much time with cars. either way its cool.
