That truly is the cherry on top. I had a big lifted truck trying to stop me from getting into my exit lane on my way home today....I was at about 2900rpm in 5th gear and the extra tq got me ahead no problem even with him flooring it.

I am so pumped for tomorrow because I know there is more HP up top.... Just can't wait to see what it does when it isn't running so rich.

Just installed the Phantom on my BRZ. Some initial thoughts: extremely high quality and very east to install. Getting the harness through the firewall was probably the hardest part and that didn't take very long. Only went into boost once and it certainly wakes the car up. Torque app registered a 4.1 psi boost and immediately threw an intake manifest pressure code. Heading down to Drift Office on Friday to get it tuned. Really didn't notice any difference in normal operation with the drag reduction operating. I opted for the Odyssey PC925 battery and it fits fine with a new battery tray. I am going to try to find a way to have the arming switch turn on with the ignition switch. I know that I will be forgetting to turn it off quite often.

The quality is very good. Rob has high standards. Did you use the hole left behind by the sound tube? The connector fits through there perfectly and exits right where you need it.

As your run additional cycles to the 24V battery pack the boost hit will increase. Try to get 30 or more cycles into the system prior to the tune. But keep in mind that until you are tuned the ECU is running lean with a little too much advance around 4000 rpm.

Drag reduction isn't something you'll really notice...that's the whole point. It's there to ensure that the compressor doesn't become a restriction. I only notice it kicking in if I happen to glance at the volt meter operating with high vacuum.

I haven't left my system armed by accident...yet. I think it's just a matter of time. I'm thinking of using a 24V contactor between the battery pack and the controller.

Actually on the stock tune you run richer with the charger on.

See graph below(dotted line): top AFR is Stock, bottom AFR is phantom ESC with stock tune.

Keep in mind this is a tailpipe reading and is actually leaner than what is in the combustion chamber.

In the end though you are right, at 4000 rpm there is still about 4 pounds of boost running on a NA tune.

jpit stick around tomorrow after your tuning session with Bob. If all goes as planned, I should be up there for 86 nights tomorrow.

So basically, when it is turned ON it acts as a NOS-like Electric Supercharger and when it is turned OFF it acts as a cold air intake inlet tube? From there you can toggle whether it is in full use or not?

Ready through the posts. Yes on question 1 and no on question 2. Additionally the unit is on or off there is no in-between mode at the moment.

I tried reading through as much as I could, but when there is over 100 pages its kind of hard to narrow it down. So when it is turned off and not in use how is the throttle bottle inhaling air from the stock CAI?

The newer models offer a more aggressive drag reduction but the system needs to be armed in order for it to work. And from my understanding it works great. I'll tell you next week how it feels. As for when the system is off? It will lower power to your car. But it still gets air. ( there's a dyno about 8 pages back.)

Right I understand that power wont be gained when it is off, but it basically replaces the inlet tube. So when it is off is it still inhaling air into the throttle body but doesn't provide boost/power?

Yup. But it loses power. But if the system is armed there is no power loss. And it will only create boost when you are at 70% wot.
