Yep! Pretty excited to get mine installed. Don't the BRZs come with fogs?

Got condensation in the driver's side tail light
Guess I'll have to make a trip up to the dealer to get it replaced. |

The condensation has typically been caused by one of the mounting feet cracking. In my opinion, as long as my car is under warranty I'd prefer to have it replaced with a OE genuine part and hopefully they'll start stocking one with an actual design fix rather than band-aid the leak... my driver side is now leaking very slightly after I had my passenger side one relaced in the spring time.

So i want to focus my mods over the winter to be better suited for AutoX. I want to stay in RTR for now so my mod choices are a bit limited. So far, I'm planning on better tires and wheels to go along with them (225 tires, same spec as stock wheels) and better brake pads.
I'm also thinking about upgrading a sway bar. I don't know much of anything when it comes to sway bars but i know that I can only upgrade one bar if I want to stay in RTR. Any suggestion on what bar to get? I would like to dial out some of the understeer I experienced this year. Somewhat related, I know the FRS is a bit more tail happy compared to the BRZ. Is that because of the sway bars? I think i would like it if I could get the suspension setup of the FRS. |

The sway bars are the same between the frs and brz. The spring rates are different between the two. The frs has a softer front spring and a stiffer rear that causes the oversteer.

Road Trips
I've been following the 'Ohio Route 555/26' thread. The group seems to have a successful participation in several road trips per year. Granted, Ohio has some very nice roads throughout the state for making best use of a BRZ relative to what Michigan has with their hills and river routes.
Question: Is there any interest that us Michiganders may have for road trips like those that would take most of a day, for instance?? For example: Circumnavigate the Detroit and/or St. Clair rivers - a Canadian/Michigan trip -Detroit/Windsor/Sarnia/Port Huron/Detroit. I will plan one if there is at least 4-5 participants. |

Absolutely. Our best meets are the few where we've gone for a drive. It's a cool feeling rolling out with all the cars Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 using Tapatalk

I'm doing the same.... posted my winter plan on the NWOR site... so I'll copy it here... Quote:
Like kask said, the difference is in the spring rates, which is not legal in RTR/Street to swap. With that said, a stiffer RSB will induce more oversteer. However, fair warning, it's going to be excessive on throttle and in transition... and if you are hard charging entries, it will not prevent the car from understeering on turn-in. A stiffer FSB will tend to push more on throttle and in transition. I feel one of the weak areas of the car is it pendulums too much in transitions, making it very difficult to keep applying power in slaloms. Additional rebound damping in the rear (care of koni dampers) and a moderate increase in FSB rate should clear that up without ruining the rest of the car's balance. I'd recommend going with a FSB that is only slightly stiffer than stock (The Strano bar seems to be a good ticket).

So even though the FRS and BRZ are basically the same car, it would still change my class if I just put the FRS springs on my BRZ? I wasn't going to do that but it seems a little weird to me. |
