My @JDLAutoDesign Unequal Length Header finally arrived yesterday!

DEM WELDS!

DAT COLLECTOR!

FLAT FLANGES! (this is how you do it right, Borla)

It was definitely worth the long wait. JDL's craftsmanship is clearly top notch and Ronnie and Jesse worked really hard all summer to make sure these ended up perfect and it shows. JDL will be cranking these headers out regularly now and will have some in stock very soon after the initial group buy is over. Can't wait to install it this weekend and do some track testing at the end of the month at Road Atlanta!

I want video of how these sound! PRONTO! Haha, looks wonderful! Will most likely be my UEL purchase when I get around to doing full header back.

I should have a quick and dirty vid to share after I get it all installed this weekend. The good stuff will come the last week of this month after two track days. Lots of sustained WOT footage with the interior stereo mic picking up from the back of the glove box, which I'll be sure to empty out this time!

Also thanks to @moto-mike for the really quick tune update. Ready to flash a revision for the header immediately after install to get a good baseline to fine tune with after sending in data logs. My Moto-East E85 tune has been rock solid so far and I hope to hit up a dyno soon and see what the actual numbers are.

Pairing the header with the overpipe pictured. Couldn't justify paying $300 for 3whp so I went the $100 route for the overpipe from DC. It's polished stainless and should do the job just fine with a 2.25" inlet stepping up to a 2.5" outlet to the front pipe. Way better than the stock OP.

So I decided not to install the DC overpipe with the header this weekend. I'm returning it for a refund after reading about multiple fitment and clearance issues. Ordered Private Label MFG overpipe and hoping to avoid contact with the subframe and swaybar by installing with the "push up while you tighten" method. Just by comparing pics the PLM OP looks to have much more dramatic bends than the DC, so here's to hoping that translates into better clearance. Fingers crossed!

Time flies. Just dug up some old photos from 2007.

This is the car I learned to REALLY drive in. 1989 Porsche 944 S2, stripped and spec'd for PCA club racing. 3 liter 16 valve n/a inline 4 cylinder making 210 crank HP.

Flash forward to 2013... at the exact same spots on track!

Same driver (me)

Same track (Road Atlanta)

Same photographer

Six years apart!

I miss those Hoosiers.
