What is this cars limit?
So, I've babied my fr-s for the first 2,500 miles. Redlined maybe twice in that time and generally keep it under 4,000 rpm in everyday driving.
Today I decided to have a little fun. It's rainy, so I go find a big empty parking lot and do about 5 minutes worth of power sliding/drifting... Gotta say, absolute most fun I've had in this car yet. But I can't help but feel like I hurt my baby... Even though I know I didn't. Just feel slightly guilty. My question is, what kind and level of abuse can this car handle on a regular basis without sacrificing reliability or messing something up? |

The moment I hit 1000 miles, I changed the oil and now my car sees redline almost every day...
It has 2600 miles right now and it's a very happy car! |

The FR-S is made to live life sideways so you won't hurt the car just don't make a habit of bouncing off redline all the time.
Oh and save up money for new tires....

If new tires is all I have to worry about then I'm not worried at all. I'll be doing a lot more sideways driving.

If you planning on tracking it, then an oil cooler is highly recommended. If not, just stick to regular maintenance and you'll be fine.
