Wow, speechless. However, I take turbocharger over supercharger, which shortens the engine life.

Turbochargers shorten engine life too.
Superchargers have a more linear torque curve. Better engine response, which is a big marketing point of this car.

Yeah, but to think about it. When you put SC in a car, the engine gets more pressure than having turbo treatment. I know turbo has lag, but I still like it better.

No, that's just your preference of turbo. Nothing to do with Supercharger shorten the life of engine (& vice-versa x turbo).

& yes, I saw that concept before... reason why Subie didn't go with that was cuz it wasn't efficient than turbo and cost to make was more than turbo (custom manifold and other stuff) that's why.

The 993 Twin Turbo kicked much ass... Not sure what else had a turbo boxer in the mid to late 90's.

Anyway, you want some lag... Try driving a 2.0 liter WRX...

One other important item, is the FT86 going to have a conventional rack and pinion power steering, Manual R+P option, or Electric Power Steering?

I hope you're not comparing Porsche's boxer engine with Subie's boxer engine. Of course Porsche's boxer engine is x3 better than Subie.

& yes, I have driven 2L wrx (both JP & US). Can't really remember the JP ver, but US one sure lagged and wished had more tq.

Yes, my cousin's ex-girlfriend's brother owned one(stock GC). To be honest, I can't remember how it was. My uncle's R32 was crazy so when I drove the GC, I didn't think of anything. If he tuned it, I'm pretty sure I'll think of it differently.
