Ahhaa...I see what you did there.

Sorry, but I'm having a hard time seeing the salt.

resale value higher? I think in ten years the 13 worth more than 14 since the 13's were first year of production of the car

No butthurt here, just questioning the motives of your original comment. Obviously, I'm not going to "wait" for the model 4 years down the road (exaggerate much?)... but buying at the end of '13 vs getting one of the early '14s? My pockets aren't endless, so it makes fiscal sense for me to go with the latter. I didn't even know about the rumored changes until after I put in my order.

Maybe if you were selling to someone who actually knew/appreciated the history of the car and its production. Probably not the same case with your average uninformed buyer; all they look at is KBB value and standard depreciation rates

dany- personally I like owning the first year and I won't sell it for at least a few decades so if I ever sell it the market will be very kind to the first year model

Don't get me wrong, I respect your personal preference, and I can see your reasoning behind it. Just makes me smh when I see someone putting down the decisions of others just to validate their own

dany- just bringing up a different prespective since your basing your decision on resell value. For this car and the niche I see 13's keeping resell value over 14 year

If I was looking for this car ten years for now, I'd go for a '14. Essentially the same as the '13, but certain to have all the fixes.

Suuure, tell the buyer that your car is part of the first production run, and help him realize what this actually implies. (yes, first batch flaws)

There are no fixes in this specific vehicle, however that is usually the case in most cars, you are right.

There is absolutely no reason to get a 2013 instead of a 2014 at this point, unless you are getting a great deal.

With Clint, you are getting a great deal with both (if he still has 2013s), so yeah...
